Yukiteru "Yuki" Amano is the main protagonist of the anime/manga series Future Diary/Mirai Nikki. He is the First Diary Holder and in possession of the "Random Diary". He is also the love interest of Yuno Gasai.

• In general, he is a selfish coward who will feign feelings for Yuno, knowing she is useful and will keep him alive, despite her being a crazed psychopath.
• Desires to start a mass murder spree so he can destroy his current reality and become a God.
• Sadistically murdered three cops after they killed his father.
• Makes no attempt to stop detective Nishijima's death.
• Formed an alliance with Eight and her orphans then betrayed them, murdering all of their members despite being well-intentioned people who wanted to do good. This leads to him enforcing the murder if massive amounts of people including orphans.
• After being told that Yuno is manipulating him and not even a god can revive the dead, he becomes emotionally upset and shoots his best friends Hinata, Mao, and Kosaka.
• After obtaining God Powers, he made no attempt to fix the universe despite having the ability to do so.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?

• Fails the Heinous Standard to not only Yuno herself, but also quite a bit to Minene Uryu.
• He cares greatly for his family, even eventually forgiving his deadbeat father after murdering his mother.
• He is tragic due to being bullied frequently while also having a dad who is frequently away. Things only get worse when he is stalked by Yuno (even drugged and kidnapped at one point) and continuously targeted by Diary users. His final breaking point is when both of his parents get killed.
• He is honorable since he is willing to respect the wishes of Eight before her death.
• Has an on & off love with Yuno. After spending 10,000 years in nothingness he falls into a depression and realizes he loves Yuno.
