Wild Knuckles is the overarching protagonist of Illumination's 12th feature films, Minions: The Rise of Gru. He was a legendary supervillain, as well as the founder of the Vicious 6, until they betrayed him for the Zodiac Stone. Now he takes the role of Gru's parental figure.

His Villainous Deeds[]
- He was the founder of the Vicious 6 and was the leader of the team. He and his team retrived the Zodiac stone and successfully retrieved it until his team betrayed him.
- He kidnaps Gru but was angry that Gru didn't have the Zodiac Stone.
- He also clearly planned to get revenge and kill the other Vicious 6 members for betraying him.
- He calls Gru's home to attempt to get ransom and the Minions pick up then tells them that they have a couple of days to bring what he wants before Gru would be killed.
- He tortures Gru by a torture device that a giant record that would eventually cut him in half with razor. He then brings Gru in a heist involving the Bank of Evil.
- He pretends to have a heart attack so that Gru can swipe the keys of Mr. Perkins.
- He fakes his death and was hiding.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He massively fails the heinous standard compared to other Minions and Despicable Me villains, he also failed the heinous standard compared to his own team as well who are standard to.
- He does care for Gru, as he became his mentor, and he was willing to sacrifice his life to save Gru's life.
- He is genuinely loyal and does care for his other members as he wasn't willing to betray them. His own loyalty having been more than merely slighted by how they betrayed him, the impact of their betrayal was ultimately what had motivated his vengeance.
- He is On and Off, as he teams up with Gru to defeat the Vicious 5.
- He is tragic and insecure as it was revealed he was lonely and all he ever wanted was a team or a family.
