Become stronger before you decide to face the mighty Wamuu again, child. That way, you can be worthy of my time as I destroy you with honor.
~ Wamuu to Caesar Zeppeli.
To me, only the strong truly existed. Victory was the single quality to be admired. I existed only to my code of honor.
~ Wamuu

Wamuu is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Esidisi) of the 1987 manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency and its 2012 anime adaptation.

He is one of the Pillar Men, serving Kars in his quest to become the ultimate life form. Unlike his masters, Wamuu is an honorable and noble warrior who seeks to fight strong opponents and doesn't really care about becoming immortal, but will support his masters in accomplishing their goals.

He was voiced by Akio Ōtsuka in Japanese and Paul St Peter in English.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • In the past, he devoured countless Hamon users in the Roman Colosseum alongside his master Kars and Esidisi.
  • He brutally slaughtered the Nazi soldiers who wanted to examine him and his two masters.
    • Although Nazi soldiers might not be very good people, Wamuu didn't know about the Nazis' crimes and he killed them not out of justice, but rather for seeing them as food to eat.
  • He mutilated Caesar's best friend Mark by walking casually through his body, without even a glance or hint of remorse.
  • When Joseph tried to challenge him, he wounded Joseph's arm to count time with blood.
  • He placed a cursed ring on Joseph that will force him to fight him out of his own pride.
  • He chopped off one of Messina's arm and dragged him into the building to lure Caesar.
  • Killed Caesar by Heavenly Sand Storm which devastated his best friend Joseph.
  • Tries to kill Joseph during their battle at the Colosseum.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • As an infant child brought by Kars and Esidisi, he was absent in the genocide of the Pillar Men. Therefore, he massively failed the heinous standard to his two masters, who wiped out their own kind.
    • His worst crime of slaughtering Hamon users is shared by his masters, and his personal villainy of killing Nazi soldiers, Mark and Caesar, despite passing the baseline, still not enough to pass the franchise's high heinous standard.
  • He is loyal to his masters, apologizing to them when he accidently hit Kars for the latter stepped in his shadow.
  • He is genuinely affable and shows a strong sense of honor, as he always playing fair in his battles, he declared his respect for Joseph and Ceasar when fighting them, praised them when he witnessed their growth, and even allowed Joseph to have his ring before their battle, simply out of respect for him and Caesar.
  • He refused to kill children and people who can't fight, showing that he has some standards.
  • His death is played with sympathy. As only a severed head, he kills the minions who unfairly try to attack Joseph after the battle in a cowardly manner, showing his undying honor. He then says to Joseph that they could've been friends in a different life.
