Hear this, Cipher! If your rip in this dimension continues, it could destroy the very fabric of existence! Surrender now, or face my tantrum!
~ The Time Baby and Bill Cipher.

The Time Baby is a minor antagonist of the Disney Channel/Disney XD animated series Gravity Falls.

He is the despotic and tyrannical supreme ruler of the Earth by the year 207̃012. The last member of the Time Giants race, the Time Baby comes across the present-day twins Dipper and Mabel Pines after they caused some time anomalies thanks to his agent Blendin Blandin.

He was voiced by Dave Wittenberg.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • While he is technically a baby, there is no indication he lacks moral agency or that Time Baby doesn't fully comprehend right and wrong.
  • Following his destruction during Weirdmageddon, he returned because of the global warming of 3012, using his powers to destroy cities and get rid of all resistance movements, rising up to global domination and establishing a tyrannical oppressive order over the world and rule it with an iron first, showing those who crossed him suffered awful consequences, if his propaganda is any indication. A cryptogram stated he would return "very cranky", and he doubtlessly was all of that.
    • This straight-up murderous response to Bill blasting him also prevents him from being a scapegoat.
  • He hosted the gladiatorial Globnar games, in which contestants often fought to death so they can win a Time Wish, leading to multiple deaths and multiple wars. Plus, the victors decide whatever fate they desire for the losers, which often is the loser's execution. What's worse is that no age restrictions exist, showing Time Baby would harm children and seniors.
  • He harshly punished Blendin Blandin, a Time Anomaly Removal Crew agent, for indirectly allowing Dipper and Mabel Pines to irresponsibly cause several time anomalies during Summer 2012, an era mere weeks before Bill blasted him, ordering Blendin to retrieve all the anomalies before sentencing him to serve "ten squared" lifetimes in the Infinetentiary.
  • He killed an excited Globnar audience member just because he yelled out of excitement when the Time Baby demanded silence.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • While his war crimes make him pass the general baseline alongside his multiple populicides and the deadly game he hosted, he fails the High Heinous Standard to Bill Cipher, who burned his dimension and unleashed Weirdmageddon, risking destroying the fabric of existence, and Stanley Pines, who put the whole universe in danger. Resources don’t help as Time Baby has an entire police force at his command, time-travelling abilities, flight, laser eyes and immorality. In contrast, Stan is a normal person and Bill himself said the Time Baby is almost as powerful as him.
  • He is an On and Off anti-villain, because no matter how harsh he is as the future's dystopic ruler, the Time Baby is concerned with any threats to time and reality and respects the eternal laws of space-time, hence his animosity towards Bill Cipher and his reasons to employ the Time Paradox Avoidance Reinforcement Squadron to take care of any dangers.
    • This also transcends his self-preservation, as he did not wish to change the timeline where Bill hurt him despite it being so close to when Blendin caused the anomalies, showing he values something more than his own well-being despite his darker traits.
  • He has some comedic moments, such as exhibiting baby-like behaviors on several occasions and threatening Bill Cipher with a temper tantrum. But he is a genuinely intimidating dictator who is taken seriously for the most part.
  • He is honorable, as he willingly gave the Pines twins their Time Wish and granted their request of forgiving Blendin for causing their anomalies after they won Globnar.
