Reva: Have I become him? Obi-Wan: No. You have chosen not to.
„
~ Reva's redemption after she spares Luke Skywalker's life and Obi-Wan tells her she's not like Darth Vader.
Reva Sevander, better known as the Third Sister, is the secondary antagonist of the 2022 Disney+ live-action Star Wars miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi.
She is one of the Inquisitors assigned by the Empire to track down and kill any remaining Jedi in the galaxy. Obsessed with becoming the next Grand Inquisitor, she would try to track down the Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi for Darth Vader himself for his revenge.
She is portrayed by Moses Ingram. As a child, she is portrayed by Ayaamii Sledge.
Along with the other Inquisitors, she seemingly helped the Empire find and kill any remaining Jedi who survived Order 66.
She also seemingly helped the other Inquisitors capture and freeze multiple Jedi (including a youngling) for unknown reasons as suggested in Fortress Inquisitorius.
She helped the Grand Inquisitor locate and kill the Jedi, Nari, on Tatooine.
When searching for Obi-Wan on Tatooine, she cuts off an old woman's hand after being told the Empire was not welcome.
She orders Vect Norku to capture Princess Leia to lure Obi-Wan Kenobi to her.
She has a bounty put on Obi-Wan's head after he saved Leia, having multiple assassins try to kill him.
She betrays the Grand Inquisitor by impaling him with her lightsaber, leaving him for dead, wanting to take credit for capturing Kenobi while also framing him for the murder of the Grand Inquisitor and take his role.
Kills a pilot who was going to assist Leia and Obi-Wan.
She captures Leia yet again and interrogates her, trying to gain information on other Jedi who had gone into hiding. When she doesn't, the Third Sister orders her to be taken away to be tortured and presumably killed.
She places a tracking device in LO-LA59 to locate Obi-Wan Kenobi, finding him on Jabiim.
She leads a siege on the Path's base, presumably killing several fighters and injured Tala.
She returns to Tatooine and breaks into the Lars homestead, planning on killing a young Luke.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
She fails the massive heinous standard to multiple other villains including fellow Inquisitor Trilla in the series and does not do much at all to stand out, with genocide attempts and mutilations being pretty common. While one could argue her freezing surviving Jedi could make her somewhat unique, it is also worth noting that it is not confirmed whether or not she froze the Jedi herself or if it was the other Inquisitors.
She does have a genuinely tragic and sympathetic background. She was one of the younglings at the Jedi Temple during Order 66 and she witnessed multiple Jedi be killed right before her, including her fellow younglings. She even admits that they were the closest thing she had ever had as a family.
After seeing herself in Luke, she spares his life and returns him to Owen and Beru Lars. After taking Luke to Obi-Wan, she begins to sob, feeling a heavy amount of remorse for her actions. Then, Obi-Wan convinces her to put down her lightsaber, convincing her to move on from her villainous ways, beginning her path to redemption and finding peace.
