~ Thelonious to Lord Farquaad, holding up the incorrect number of fingers. |
Thelonious is a supporting antagonist in DreamWorks' 5th full-length animated feature film Shrek, the first installment of the Shrek film series, and one of the two secondary antagonists of its 2003 4D short sequel Shrek 4-D. He is the dimwitted executioner and minion of Lord Farquaad.
He was voiced by Christopher Knights.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- He is Lord Farquaad's lead torturer and has likely tortured several prisoners in the past.
- He dunks Gingy with a glass of milk.
- He breaks a hand-mirror as a threat to the Magic Mirror when Farquaad asks him for advice.
- He assists Farquaad's ghost in attempting to kill Fiona.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- Considering his worst action being torturing Farquaad's prisoners under his orders; he is bog-standard.
- He slightly fails the heinous standards to Lord Farquaad (who is also bog-stndard), as his crimes fall short of him, and while it's unfair to compare him to Fairy Godmother, Rumpelstiltskin, Bloodwolf, or Big Jack Horner due them having much higher resources than him, he fails even harder to Humpty Alexander Dumpty, whose actions ended up nearly destroying all of San Ricardo and killing its villaigers, all with lower resources.
- He was genuinely loyal to Lord Farquaad until his master's death.
- He has several comedic moments, such as not being able to count properly and poorly writing for the audience to "Awww" for Shrek and Fiona's love.
- He ultimately redeems himself, as he attends Shrek's wedding and attempts to save Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey from falling off a waterfall.
