NOTE: This page is only about the Movie version of The Underminer as his Rise of the Underminer and Comic Book incarnations were voted as Pure Evil, and thus only the Movie version of The Underminer's info and crimes should be put here. |
“ | Behold, the Underminer! I am always beneath you but nothing is beneath me! I hereby declare war on peace and happiness! Soon all will tremble before me! | „ |
~ The Underminer's speech in the Incredibles. |
“ | Consider yourselves... UNDERMINED!!! | „ |
~ The Underminer before robbing the bank. |
The Underminer is a minor antagonist in both Pixar's full-length The Incredibles and its sequel Incredibles 2.
He was voiced by John Ratzenberger.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- Although he might seem tragic due to losing his hands, this is too petty to make him sympathetic and he likely was already evil.
- At the end of the first Incredibles movie, he utilizes a giant drill to inflict property damage and uplift many cars, prompting the Incredibles to prepare for action once again.
- In the opening scene of the second Incredibles movie, he uses explosives under buildings to try to cause more property damage while robbing banks.
- If not for Frozone, he would have destroyed the town hall.
- He ends up getting away with his schemes scot-free, turning him into Karma Houdini.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- While his destruction of the city is enough to pass the baseline, he fails the high heinous standard to Syndrome and Screenslaver, who both do so much worse than him. The Underminer's resources don't help anything, as he has a giant drilling machine that is shown to be capable of causing the same amount of damage as an Omnidroid, but he fails to use it to its fullest potential, showing he holds back on his resources and thus, fails the individual capability as a result. In contrast, Syndrome and Screenslaver both make full use of all their resources and their crimes are far more heinous than those committed by the Underminer.
- He is too enigmatic to be PE as he has no motive.
Trivia[]
- His version from the Rise of the Underminer video game and comic series qualifies Pure Evil since that version suffers from no Fridge Horror and done more than just rob an bank due to the explicit claim that destroying the sun would wipe out all of humanity.
- His position could change if he returns in Incredibles 3 and play enough of a role in it.
