The Spaniard is a major antagonist in the 2011 fantasy swashbuckler film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
He was portrayed by Óscar Jaenada.

- Takes part in the Spanish raid on the Fountain of Youth.
- He follows Barbossa and Blackbeard's force and comes up behind them.
- He shoots Theodore Groves who is trying to claim ownership of the spring in the name of the British Empire.
- He orders to destroy the spring since only God gives immortal life.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He falls short of the heinious standards of both other pirates and the forces of the British Empire.
- He is only following orders from King Ferdinand VI.
- He has some dignity as he calls out to note the heroism of Theodore Groves after he shoots him.
- He is also affably toward his men, congratulating for their job.
- He is well-intentioned because he wants to destroy the Fountain of Youth as he knows that immortals are dangerous. That explains also why he wanted to prevent Blackbeard to become immortal.
