~ The trailer for Animator vs. Animation III. |
The Chosen One is the deuteragonist of the Animator vs. Animation series, serving as the main protagonist of Season 1 and one of the two main protagonists (alongside the Second Coming) of Seasons 2 and 3.
He was a stick figure created by the Animator simply because he was looking for a challenge. Although originally wanting nothing more than to break free from the Animator's control and cause as much havoc as possible, the Chosen One starts having second thoughts once he sees how evil the Dark Lord has become, culminating in his redemption in an attempt to save all computers from destruction. He is the creation/previous archenemy of the Animator and best friend-turned-archenemy of the Dark Lord.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- Straight after being created, he instantly started wrecking havoc across the Animator's computer in an attempt to shut it down.
- He killed Mozilla Firefox through freezing it, Windows Media Player through blowing it up with its own notes, Adobe Photoshop with its own laser eyes, and AOL Instant Messenger through crushing it with the window to its own program. While Firefox, WMP and AIM were later revived, Adobe Photoshop is never seen again, making it possible its death stuck.
- He temporarily froze My Computer.
- After being released from enslavement, he started wrecking the Animator's computer again.
- He defeated Clippy in a fight after he attacked, and while he was still alive the last time he was seen, it's clear he died shortly afterwards due to the computer being destroyed just a few minutes later.
- He tried to kill the Dark Lord upon encountering him.
- He defeated 7 desktop icons through various ways, and while it's unknown if those blows killed them or knocked them out, they were most definitely finished off when he destroyed the computer they lived in afterwards.
- He brutally killed the revived AIM, Firefox, as well as the Minesweeper Face and possibly VLC Media Player (assuming it wasn't already dead by then) by throwing them into Minesweeper, which proceeded to explode, heavily injuring the Dark Lord in the process.
- He convinced the Dark Lord to become evil after showing him the Animator is indifferent to his fate, and then they teamed up to destroy his computer. We know at least four sapient programs were alive when this happened, and it's possible much more of them were still alive by the time it was destroyed.
- For around seven years, he and the Dark Lord spread havoc across the Internet, terrorizing and slaughtering its citizens.
- The effect of their rampage is effectively shown when they raided Newgrounds, in which they extremely destroyed the website while murdering countless figures, including Victim's wife Mitsi (not actually confirmed, could also be TDL but he was heavily responsible). This case devastatingly traumatized Victim to the extent that he set on a manhunt to take revenge from the Chosen One, who was seen by the Agent during the rampage. the death of Mitsi at his hands, makes the Chosen One directly/indirectly responsible for Victim's descent into Villainy.
- They also endangered and traumatized many other figures during the Newgrounds massacre, with notably ones being Purple and his family, the Agent and the Corn Dog Guy.
- It's implied the two conquered the Internet, although that's currently only Word of God and not confirmed.
- While it's true he was horrified by the Dark Lord's madness, he didn't try stopping him until the very last second, and before that he let him rampage instead of trying to save people.
- It's shown his actions have an effect on the Animator as he proceeded to kill four stick figures for simply coming to life on his computer.
- Even after redeeming himself, he still essentially kidnapped the Second Coming so he would defeat the Mercenaries for him, despite the stick figure making it clear he lacks any powers.
- Even after his redemption, it's not confirmed if he truly felt remorse for his crimes, only that there are lines even he won't cross.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- He fails the Heinous Standard to the Dark Lord, who tried to destroy countless computers with around as much resources. While it's true he caused his fall to villainy, it's still clear the Dark Lord went to extremes the Chosen One didn't intend him to go for, being shocked by his actions and trying to talk him out of it, and thus he can't be blamed for his most heinous crimes. While destroying the Animator's computer could push him over baseline, not only did the Animator deserve it, but he still needed the Dark Lord's help to do it, and thus it's not enough to stand out.
- It's shown he's not heartless as he let the Dark Lord live and team up with him to get back at the Animator, and even saved his life when the computer was exploding despite the fact he could've escaped without him.
- His abuse at the hands of the Animator is still played sympathetically, with him being affected by it years later and explaining why he became so vengeful.
- He has standards, as shown through him being horrified of the Dark Lord once he starts terrorizing fellow stick figures and animations. This even leads to his redemption, as described below.
- After growing horrified of the Dark Lord's actions, he ultimately redeems himself and decides to stop him from sending out an army of viruses around the globe with the intentions of destroying and killing as much as he can.
Trivia[]
- He was originally proposed for Inconsistently Heinous but rejected for apparently failing the standards to the Dark Lord. After it was decided he's responsible for the Dark Lord's fall to villainy, he was re-proposed and approved, but was then cut for the second time when it was decided his role in the Dark Lord's fall to villainy is too indirect.
