Tal Merrik is a supporting antagonist in the second season of the animated TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, serving as the main antagonist of the episode "Voyage of Temptation".

His Villainous Deeds[]
- Despite serving under Duchess Satine Kryze, Merrik grew unsatisfied with her pacifist ideals and conspired with Pre Vizsla to have her killed to restore Mandalore to its warrior days.
- He smuggled three Assassin droids aboard the Coronet to Assassinate Duchess Satine Kryze, resulting in the droids murdering Redeye and Mixer.
- When Obi-Wan Kenobi exposes him as a traitor, Merrik takes Satine hostage and prepares to turn her in to Death Watch.
- He arrives in the Coronet’s cockpit and kills everyone present, including the captain, even after he begs him for mercy. When Satine calls him a "horrid monster" for this, Merrik simply told her to "get used to it", showing that Merrik is proud of who he is and holds no qualms about murdering innocents.
- While Obi-Wan and Satine professed their romantic feelings for each other, Merrik watched in utter annoyance and mocked them.
- He threatens to blow up the Cornet and kills the dozens of innocents onboard if he fails to capture Satine.
- When Satine aims a blaster at him, Merrik mocks that if she did so she would be a hypocrite to her pacifist ideals. Merrik then implores Kenobi to kill him as he would be praised for it, except for Satine. He then further mocks them both by asking who would strike first and prove themselves "a cold-blooded killer."
- Overall, he has no redeeming qualities.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He fails the massive heinous standards of the Star Wars Universe, with mass murder being a generic crime in the franchise.
