Stonefleck is a villain in Redwall. He appears in Mattimeo, as well as the second season of the TV Series.
What Makes Him Villainous?[]
- He works with Slagar, ferrying children to the kingdom of Malkariss across a piranha-infested river.
- When Matthias and his party show up to rescue his hostages, he decides to shoot them all, or failing that, let them be eaten by piranhas, which would kill the heroes quickly but painfully.
- He succeeds in shooting a few of the shrews that had accompanied our heroes.
- He is responsible for Warbeak's death.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- He meets the baseline for working with a child slaver and for attempting a killing spree with Matthias and his party, but he fails the standard to Slagar who intended to give them a worse death by making them die slowly.
- While he was responsible for Warbeak’s death, Warbeak attacked first. And it was not a deliberate move to hurt Matthias, as opposed to Slagar who kidnapped Mattimeo and several Redwall children to hurt him as much as he could.
- He shows some camaraderie with his minions in the TV series (hence his minions being demoralized when he falls), though since he threatens one with a knife, it does not extend to all of his minions.
