Skull Devil, also known as Ramarak or The Big One, is the main antagonist of the 2017 action/adventure film Kong: Skull Island, the second installment of Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse.
She is the tyrannical alpha of the Skullcrawlers and one of Kong's archenemies, along with Lt. Col. Preston Packard, the Kraken and Skar King. She has terrorized Skull Island for thousands of years and is partially responsible for the near-extinction of Kong's race, having reportedly killed Kong's parents herself.
Her Evil Ranking[]
Her Villainous Deeds[]
- She participated in hunting Kong's race to the brink of extinction.
- According to Hank Marlow, she killed Kong's parents herself, making her the cause of the first of numerous traumatic losses in Kong's life that Kong suffered by various foes.
- Upon awakening, she attacked Kong while he was wounded.
- She promptly turned her attention from a downed Kong to hunting down the humans stranded on Skull Island, intending to devour them all.
- When Capt. Earl Cole attempted to trick her into eating him while he was holding an unpinned grenade, she saw through his ruse by his approaching her, and she killed him by swiping him into the air with her tail, rendering his sacrifice meaningless.
- When Kong intervened to try and stop her, the Skull Devil fought him to the death, and might have nearly succeeded if not for Lt. Hank Marlow and Mason Weaver's intervention.
- After being grievously wounded by Kong and appearing dead, she recovers and makes one last attack on him, attempting to devour the hand he's holding Mason Weaver in as if attempting to deprive him of the human whose life he just went out of his way to save.
- In Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong she attempts to kill Kong and Beast Boy after being revived.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- She fails to stand out for several reasons.
- While her being responsible for the near extinction of Kong's race would have been heinous enough, it is ultimately unknown how much of a role she played in it compared to the other Skullcrawlers, plus later MonsterVerse installments heavily imply that Skullcrawlers weren't the only factor in the near-extinction of Kong's kind. Additionally, her being responsible for nearly wiping out Kong's race relies on offscreen villainy.
- Although she doesn't have to be compared to King Ghidorah due to the latter having more resources, she still fails the heinous standards to the Kraken and Skar King, who have similar resources to her but commit far more heinous acts, are a lot more explicitly malicious and cause much more destruction. She also fails to Mechagodzilla who already fails the heinous standard. In Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong doesn't help since she has no personality and thus is an "generic doomsday villain" in that story and fails to Lex Luthor who rebuilt Mechagodzilla and taking control of the Titans to destroy the Justice League and endanger many lives.
- Despite showing more personality compared to other Skullcrawlers, she is still portrayed as a predator who needs to eat to survive.
