Sergei is the main antagonist of Illumination's tenth feature film The Secret Life of Pets 2.
He is the cruel and abusive Russian owner of Sergei's Circus of Fun and Hu's abusive former owner. He is also Max and Snowball's arch-nemesis.
He was voiced by Nick Kroll.

His Villainous Deeds[]
- He tortured Hu in front of Snowball and Daisy while trying to practice performing a water diving trick using a whip no matter how scared the cub is.
- He is shown wearing a wolf scarf around his neck, showing that he murdered one of his wolves (presumably because they failed him) and that he even abuses them as well as Hu.
- After failing to perform the trick and being caged, Sergei threatens to turn Hu into a rug unless he performs well the next day during training and charges his pet wolves to guard him with their lives.
- He tracks Daisy down and captures both Hu and Daisy.
- After catching Daisy and Hu, Sergei cowardly escapes in his train moving for the circus.
- When all the other pets arrived to defeat him, Sergei refused to show remorse or give up and tried to kill all the animals despite knowing that they are sapient (since he heard them talk).
- He tries to stop Hu from escaping by restraining him with his chain collar/leash and threatens to shoot all the animals with a gun. However, he is hit by The Cat Lady and knocked unconscious.
- He is far worse than Snowball and the rest of the Flushed Pets because while Snowball and the Flushed Pets have numerous redeeming qualities, aren't taken entirely seriously, and most of them redeem themselves at the end of the first film, Sergei has little to no redeeming qualities, is played completely seriously, and doesn't redeem himself.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- While he definitely passes the "kill-the-heroes" baseline due to targeting multiple animals despite being aware of their sapience and being worse than Snowball and the rest of the Flushed Pets, Sergei is still just a bog-standard greedy businessman whose worst actions rely on generic animal cruelty, sabotage, and kill-the-heroes villainy.
- He has a genuine friendship with his monkey, Little Sergei, and gave him a banana, and he even wanted to give him a fur coat.
