~ Scooby-Doo to Velma before killing her.

Scoobert Doobert Doo III, better known as Scooby-Doo, is the main antagonist of the Velma Meets the Original Velma YouTube skit by Avocado Animations. He is a more demonic and uncanny version of Scooby-Doo who murdered The Mystery Gang and became harmful after Velma asked how Scooby can talk.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • He violently murdered his friends every time that Velma remembered he could talk, then created a new universe giving them amnesia every time. This is shown to have happened at least 5 times.
  • He repeats his murders once more when Velma starts to remember the past.
  • He telekinetically pulls Velma too him to kill her.

Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]

  • While his sadism passes the general baseline, him killing his friends several times despite being a powerful deity who can manipulate reality means he doesn't pass the horror villain standards, as he could do worse with his powers and resources.
    • Other than violently murdering his friends, the rest of his deeds badly suffer from Fridge Horror as him "recreating the world" isn't given much context, with nothing confirming he destroyed the original universe of committing omnicide and his friends don't seem to be in any pain unless he kills them.
  • Although he's taken seriously in-universe, he's not from a narrative standpoint for the reasons that:
    1. He's a parody of the well-known Scooby-Doo with god-like abilities, which is hard to take seriously especially with the general popular fondness of the concept.
    2. His motive of killing his friends because they asked if he could talk is played for laughs because of how ridiculously silly and strange it is as a reason.
    3. The entire video is meant as a joke to make fun of the Velma show and it's poor reception from fans.
    • To sum up, his entire character is meant as a joke, akin to MrBeast. It doesn't help that Avocado Animations is capable of not giving villains this treatment as he is also the creator of Steve from A Villager Night and the Cyan Impostor who are both taken dead seriously in comparison and not treated like a parody.
  • Despite the things he has done to them, he genuinely cares for his friends and wants to go on adventures with them. He shows sadness whenever he kills them and would rather not do it if not necessary. He also states he has every intent to “get it right” his next round.
  • His insecurities are genuinely played for sympathy, even if they don't justify his actions.
  • His actions are mostly played for shock value, preventing him from being PE, NPE, or IH.

Trivia[]

  • He was originally considered Inconsistently Heinous as it was thought he's on & off, genuinely heroic at times and too much of a parody. He was later considered Near Pure Evil as it was thought he is mostly taken seriously but is backstory is to ridiculous to be taken seriously. After this, however, he was removed from Near Pure Evil and became Inconsistently Heinous, before becoming a Villainous Benchmark once again as it was pointed out his insecurities are sympathetic, he's a parody meant to criticize the Velma show and his omnicide, creating villains and giving his friends a Fate Worse than Death is never confirmed, meaning he isn't heinous enough with his high resources.
  • He is the only main Avocado Animations villain to be consider a Villainous Benchmark, as the rest manage to pass the baseline with their high gruesome murder counts and don't have to compete with each other due to not coming from the same continuity.
