The Russian Demogorgon is a supporting antagonist in the Netflix original series Stranger Things, serving as a minor antagonist of Season 3 and a major antagonist in Season 4.
It is a Demogorgon who got taken by the Russians and used as a killing machine by the Warden of the labor camp. It is the archenemy of Jim Hopper.

- It killed all the prisoners who were sent to it by the Russians in the past, such as a prisoner sent instead of Hopper, who claimed he was innocent, and other 6 prisoners sent by Warden Melnikov in its arena a week ago prior to season 4.
- When Warden Melnikov sent 9 prisoners (including Oleg, Hopper and Dmitri Antonov) in its arena to fight it knowing they have no chance to survive, it killed Oleg and the other 6 prisoners except for Hopper and Dmitri Antonov who just barely survived thanks to a flaming spear created by them.
- After Hopper and Dmitri escape the arena, it climbs up past the arena, and along with the other Demodogs revived by the Mind Flayer (a proxy of it), massacred up to 34 of Kamchatka guards and prisoners (and possibly even more), including Ivan and Warden Melnikov (although they deserved it for murdering many prisoners).
- After being confronted one last time by Hopper, Joyce and Murray it along with the Demodogs, attempts to kill them all but is killed by Hopper.
- Its death is not played for sympathy due to his gruesome murders towards the prisoners.
Why Doesn't It Stand Out?[]
- As with the rest of his species, it's just a mindless predator fully under the control of the Mind Flayer, and thus it is completely amoral just like the other Demogorgons.
- While it passes the baseline with his numerous murders, it fails the standards to other villains such as Vecna (who also fails the standards), The Mind Flayer, Martin Brenner, Jack Sullivan and even Warden Melnikov who managed to do much worse.
- It is a scapegoat, as it was captured by the Russians and locked in their prison, being forced to eat other prisoners in order to survive, and it is being used for the Soviet Union as a fighter.
