Rolf Eriksson is a major antagonist from Heroes of Might and Magic V: The Hammers of Fate and a minor antagonist from Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East. He was the rune mage warrior of the kingdom of Grimheim, the diplomat of the kingdom, Wulfstan's brother-in-law, and one of the most malevolent, power-hungry villains in the Heroes series.

  • He uses his power to prevent Wulfstan from receiving a high position in the dwarven kingdom, but to remain a borderer for as long as possible.
  • He was hostile and malicious towards Freya Unicorn and her people without reason.
  • After Laszlo and the army of the Red Church attack the dwarven kingdom, Rolf wants to capture Freya and her men to be valuable pawns.
  • After Wulfstan grants Freya and her men a free pass, Rolf, instead of helping to defend the border, goes after the woman with his army to kill her and her knights.
  • After the Red Church's armies break through most of the dwarven defenses, instead of helping Wulfstan, he goes with his army to the dwarven capital to complain to King Tholgar and High Priest Hangvul.
  • He lies to Tholgar and Hangvul that Wulfstan is a traitor and that he attacked the Griffin Empire.
  • He kills Wulfstan's guards and kidnaps Prince Andrei.
  • He and Hangvul manage to get the king to issue a bounty against Wulfstan and for some of the dwarves to view him as an outlaw and criminal who must be killed.
  • He wants to kill Wulfstan in open battle.
  • In the dwarven civil war, he returns with a large army to kill Wulfstan and Hangvul to claim the throne.
  • He wants to prevent the dwarves from uniting and wants to kill Zehir and his entire army.
  • He has no redeeming qualities.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • Despite being one of the most evil characters in the Heroes (Ashan) series, he falls massively below the standard of Heroes of Might and Magic villains.
