You won't find it. Because Vernal isn't the Spring Maiden. I am!
~ Raven revealing she is the Spring Maiden.

Her Evil Ranking[]

Her Villainous Deeds[]

  • When Ruby and Yang were young, she abandoned her family, which caused Yang to suffer from depression.
  • She became the leader of the Branwen Tribe and was known for attacking populated villages to supply her tribe with essential resources such as food. Plus, if her line "The weak die, the strong live" is any indication, she has destroyed more than one village.
  • She killed the original Spring Maiden to gain her powers.
  • She plotted a plan to kill her own brother Qrow, which shocked even Cinder Fall and Arthur Watts.
  • She formed a partnership with Cinder and indirectly got others killed by her.
  • She kidnapped Weiss and attempted to force her to return to Atlas so she could be abused by her father Jacques Schnee.
  • Even when Yang confronts her and calls her out on her actions, she refuses to take responsibility for her crimes and instead attempts to justify them.

Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]

  • Although she passes the baseline due to knowingly giving Yang depression and wiping out a populated village, she massively fails the series' heinous standard compared to Cinder Fall, Arthur Watts, Jacques Schnee, Roman Torchwick, Adam Taurus and Tyrian Callows, all of whom have done significantly worse while wielding less resources and power than her.
    • She also relies on Fridge Horror as it's unknown how many villages she has destroyed, with her only being confirmed to have attacked one.
  • She is tragic due to being raised in a family of thieves and murderers, which shaped her Darwinistic beliefs.
  • She is honorable as she gave Yang a chance to find Ruby and abandoned her plan to kill Qrow with no pragmatic reason behind it whatsoever.
  • She genuinely cares for her tribe, as most of her crimes are motivated by her desire to keep them safe.
  • She felt remorse for abandoning Yang and even apologized for it.
  • She is on & off due to committing some heroic acts like saving Yang from Neopolitan and betraying Cinder to help the heroes win their fight against her.
