Dark Rain is a minor antagonist in Mortal Kombat 1, and a more malicious counterpart to the main version of Rain, New Era Rain, and heroic Rain, and is an unplayable character in Shang Tsung's chapter.
Like his counterparts, he is voiced by Norshir Dalal.

- Before joining the Forces of Darkness, it is assumed that he was extremely xenophobic to Edenians and even turned himself into villainy, and he even subverted all of his redeeming qualities.
- He joins the Forces of Darkness as a titan to assist Titan Shang to destroy Liu Kang's New Era.
- He traps Raiden, New Era Shang Tsung and New Era Quan Chi by casting a water spell on them
- He tried to kill Raiden, New Era Shang Tsung and New Era Quan Chi.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- His actions on helping Titan Shang Tsung usually relies on Fridge Horror.
- He is generically a "Kill-the-heroes" villain, making him bog-standard.
- He fails the heinous standards to other villains like Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, Sindel, and Quan Chi who did way worse than him.
