Tomorrow, find that girl, walk up to her and be like... "hey".
~ Aaron Davis to Miles, and his most famous quote.
Hello, Mr. Fisk. I've got the security tapes from the tunnel right here. If the kid's out there, I'll find him. [takes off mask] You know me, sir; I don't ever quit.
~ Prowler talking to the Kingpin and unknowingly revealing himself to an invisible Miles.
NOWHERE LEFT TO RUN!
~ Prowler with Miles at his mercy.
You're the best of all of us, Miles. You're on your way. Just... keep going... just keep going.
~ Aaron's last words as he encourages Miles to live normally in spite of difficulty.

Aaron Davis, also known as the Prowler and Uncle Aaron, is a major antagonist in Sony Pictures Animation's 18th full-length feature film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the first installment in the Spider-Verse trilogy.

He was Jefferson Davis's brother and Miles Morales' uncle who secretly operated as an eminent hitman and top enforcer for the Kingpin until the events of the film.

He is voiced by Mahershala Ali.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • He worked as a hitman and aided Kingpin in his goals.
  • He aided Kingpin by preventing Spider-Man from deactivating the Super Collider, even though Peter told him, Kingpin and Tombstone that it could have cause a black hole to endanger Brooklyn.
  • Even if he didn't know that Miles was his nephew, Aaron still pursued what he knew was a kid with the intention of killing him.
  • He caused a road accident involving a truck and two cars at the end of his second chase of Miles. Even if close inspection shows that all the airbags had activated, Prowler still endangered those people and there's a high chance some of them were either injured or even killed.
  • After the explosion, Prowler, Kingpin and Tombstone confronted the seriously wounded Spider-Man (after giving the USB drive designed to destroy the Collider to Miles and entrusting, he destroyed it for him) and would bear witness to Kingpin killing Spider-Man in response to him stating that the former's motives in using the Collider won't successfully work.
  • He instantly become aware to Miles' presence and pursued him, chasing him through an alley and through the streets on his motorcycle.
  • He tried to kill the new Spider-Man and get the USB one last time before he unmasked himself.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • Despite passing the baseline due to causing a road accident that endangered multiple people and being aware that the Collider could destroy Brooklyn via a black hole, he doesn't fully stand out from Kingpin and Olivia Octavius as he doesn’t know the Collider is a mulitversal threat and him trying to kill Spider-Man to prevent him from stopping the Collider is under Kingpin’s orders.
  • He genuinely loves his family:
    • He had a good relationship with his nephew, Miles and tried giving him advice on how to talk to girls. When learning that the new Spider-Man was none other than Miles himself, he was horrified by the realization that he had been trying to kill his own nephew and backs down, which results in his death.
    • Aaron didn't resent his brother at all despite being estranged and choosing opposite paths in life, defending him when talking to Miles and was audibly sad that he and Jefferson no longer got along like they did in their youth.
  • Due to his affability towards Miles never being a facade, the scene where he gives him advice on how to talk to girls is genuinely played for laughs.
  • During the battle at Aunt May's house, he offered Miles one last chance to hand over the USB and be spared, making him honorable.
  • He apologized for everything and tells Miles that he is the best of the family and to keep going, he holds Miles' hand who is grief-stricken as Aaron gives in to his wounds and dies, ultimately redeeming himself.
    • His death also makes him a scapegoat since he was killed by Kingpin over something he understandably didn't want to do.
