Professor Hinkle has been hunted down for the soul to be collected for the following reason(s): Too bog-standard to qualify with the upcoming criteria change, as he mainly only attempts to steal back an item and has only one kill to his name, the latter of which was undone. Please discuss it on the talk page for this article. |
Professor Hinkle, also simply known as Hinkle, is the main antagonist of the 1969 Christmas television special Frosty the Snowman. He was the former arch-nemesis of Frosty the Snowman.
He was voiced by the late Billy de Wolfe.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- He may very well have a history of abusing Hocus Pocus, his rabbit, by the fact the latter does not like the former. In a fit of rage, he attempts to throw his hat in the trash, which he threw so hard that Hocus could have sustained a rather grievous injury, but luckily the rabbit was okay.
- Hocus seems to regularly run from Hinkle as the next scene of them has the magician chase the rabbit for the hat.
- When the children declare the hat that brought Frosty to life magical, Hinkle takes back the hat. When it is pointed out by the children that it brought Frosty to life and that Hinkle threw it away anyway, he attempts to tell them that they "believe everything you see."
- He discreetly hitches a ride on a train to follow Frosty just so he can get his hat back.
- When he realizes Frosty and Karen have prematurely gotten off the train, Hinkle gets angry and tells them that they unfairly tricked him. The two were not aware of his presence, thus he would not have any ground to say they duped him.
- When he catches up to Karen warming up by the fire, he blows it out just to make Frosty come out of hiding, completely ignoring the fact Karen could freeze to death.
- When Frosty and Karen arrive in a greenhouse, Hinkle catches up to them and locks them inside, leaving Frosty to melt inside all so he could obtain his hat.
- While he did apologize to Frosty a "hundred zillion times" as Santa asked him to, they were all most likely half-hearted as he just wanted to obtain a new hat. He does walk along in a parade with Frosty, no longer appearing to antagonize him, but he most likely does not lash out due to him having nothing that belongs to him.
- It can be inferred that if someone else took something from Hinkle (say a wand, just as an example), he would most likely go to great lengths just to obtain it, most likely not caring about the lives he would have to hurt as he had shown he would let Frosty die to retrieve his hat or endanger Karen's life to lure out Frosty just to be in possession of his items again.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He is merely an avaricious magician who is just attempting to steal one thing throughout the duration of the film, making him severely fail the baseline. His worst act of killing Frosty does not help him much as it merely makes him a "kill-the-hero" villain.
- He gets played for laughs quite a bit, like when Hocus hops on his head or when he tumbles off of the train just to hit a tree and have a squirrel laugh at him.
