“ | All I ever wanted was for everyone to instantly love me as much as they love you. No! You turned everyone against me! You humiliated me! You told me I could never be a Powerpuff Girl! Well, if I can't be a Powerpuff Girl, then there won't be any POWERPUFF GIRLS! | „ |
~ Princess Morbucks |
“ | I have no other choice. You are so rotten, so despicable, so naughty, I'm putting you on the... PERMANENT! NAUGHTY! PLAQUE! | „ |
~ Santa Claus putting Princess' name on the Permanent Naughty Plaque as punishment for her crimes and awful behavior |
Princess Morbucks is a major antagonist in The Powerpuff Girls. She is one of the four most recurring villains in the series and Buttercup's rival in the original series.
She is voiced by Jennifer Hale.
Her Evil Ranking[]
Her Villainous Deeds[]
- She is very bratty and wants to get rid of the Powerpuff Girls so she can be one herself for her selfish needs like fame and fortune.
- Furthermore, the Powerpuff Girls rejecting Princess also doesn't make her tragic due to her actions, especially since she wanted to be one herself for selfish reasons and not for the good of others, which means this becomes an even more petty excuse.
- In addition, even if the Powerpuff Girls had not rejected her, there is no doubt that she still would have ended up as an anti-hero at best.
- She seems to leech off her father for money in order to beat the Powerpuff Girls and threatens that she won’t leave him alone if he refuses to help her showing no true care for him.
- Her relationship with her father is more for pragmatism, because she only cares for his money, and shows no real love towards him.
- In "Stuck Up, Up and Away", even before becoming a villain she is still bratty as she refused to play with the other kids because she viewed them as poor. When she saw the Powerpuff Girls in action she got impressed and tried to be one herself. Her first attempt failed so badly that she got tied up with a bomb by the robbers, forcing the Powerpuff Girls to save her and allowing the robbers to get away with the stolen money. Afterwards, she tried to kill the Powerpuff Girls for “humiliating” her (which was her own fault). This is especially ungrateful considering they previously saved her life. She even bragged about how she defeated Bubbles and Buttercup single handily. While being arrested, she whined and yelled at the police, saying they couldn't arrest her and her daddy was important.
- In "Birthday Bash", she sends a bullseye to the girls on there birthday so that a rocket can come down to blow them up and possibly everyone else in the party, trying of kill them.
- In "Daylight Savings", she can briefly be seen as part of the parade of villains heading into Townsville to perform crimes while the girls are being forced to stay inside for their curfew. Since she is in the same grade as them, it can only be assumed she must be violating curfew herself.
- In "Mo Job", when she sees Mojo Jojo on the news, she comes to hire him to make a device to give her powers of the girls and get rid of the girl's powers so she and Mojo can kill them.
- She is also shown to insult Mojo constantly showing she only teamed up with him for pragmatic reasons.
- In "Bought and Scold", she gets the mayor to trade the city to her for a room full of candy, allowing her to be the new mayor to legalize crime to spite the girls, threatening to have them arrested if they try to stop criminals and causing Townsville to become a crime ridden dystopia, and only makes crime illegal again when her stuff is stolen. She also had a moment where she screamed for a glass of water before getting out of bed to get it herself while muttering how she should start calling the girls on the Powerpuff hotline and ordering them to get her glasses of water now that she's the mayor.
- In "Meet the Beat-Alls", she teams up with Mojo Jojo, Fuzzy Lumpkins, and HIM, terrorizing Townsville as the Beat-Alls and robbing many places. She, Fuzzy, and Him later get on the rooftops and start destroying Townsville just for fun.
- In "Superfriends", while she seemingly strikes up a friendship with Robin Snyder, it's only to gain her trust and she later gets her in trouble by commanding her to steal sweets from the store. This further proves that she never actually cared for Robin's well-being.
- In "'Twas the Fight Before Christmas", she still didn't consider herself naughty even after all the horrible things she had done. She stepped on Ms. Keane's foot when exiting school, and she tried to ruin Christmas for everybody by messing with Santa's list to have everyone in the naughty list but her. She then raced the girls to the North Pole so she can lie to Santa about the girls being naughty, and when the girls tried to stop her, she threw a fit in front of Santa and tried to get him to not trust the girls. Also, when Blossom told her to change her ways for Christmas, Princess refused and instead tampered with Santa's naughty and nice lists.
- Making this even worse, she didn't have to switch the lists around. She could have just destroyed the naughty list (which was just a sticky note with only her name on it) and added her name to the nice list, making Santa believe there were no naughty kids that year.
- On a side note, the fact that she was apparently the only kid on Earth on the naughty list that year speaks volumes of how nasty she is. Even Mitch Mitchelson, who is generally bratty, has actual redeeming qualities and standards enough to be on the nice list, despite the fact that his most serious offense was abusing and nearly killing Twiggy (which would have easily placed him on the naughty list, if not the Permanent Naughty Plaque).
- Santa deems Princess so terrible that he adds her name to the Permanent Naughty Plaque, meaning that she has no chance of redemption.
- Making this even worse, she didn't have to switch the lists around. She could have just destroyed the naughty list (which was just a sticky note with only her name on it) and added her name to the nice list, making Santa believe there were no naughty kids that year.
- In "Documentary", she is briefly seen rudely refusing to do an interview.
- She is a major hypocrite; calling the Powerpuff Girls "brats" and Robin a "liar" and "thief," when Princess herself is the actual brat, liar, and thief.
- She is also cowardly:
- In "Stuck Up, Up, and Away", when defeated by the girls, she asks them why they won't let her be a Powerpuff Girl.
- In "Bought and Scold", she begs the girls for mercy when they stole her stuff to give them back to her.
- In "Boy Toys", she begs the girls to let her join them so they can beat the Rowdyruff Boys.
- In "'Twas the Fight Before Christmas", she attempts to tell her father on Santa for putting her on the Permanent Naughty Plaque.
- While she's slightly insecure due to wanting to be loved like the Powerpuff Girls, it's not played for sympathy.
- Even though she had some humiliating defeats, they are well-deserved for her actions.
- While she does have comedic moments, most of them happened before "'Twas the Fight Before Christmas", during which she was taken more seriously.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- Despite passing the baseline due to making crime legal in Townsville, she still fails the heinous standards to Mojo Jojo who endangers several innocent citizens when he attacks the city of Townsville with similar resources (and that's ignoring that he also fails to Dick Hardly, who technically committed mass filicide with roughly the same amount of resources).
- She has her fair share of comedic moments and quips which detract from her villainy, such as her jabbing her finger into Buttercup's chest while saying "Oh, yeah? Tell that to Batman!" as well as speaking with a lisp.
- She at least has a bit of a friendship with HIM and Fuzzy Lumpkins.
- She did seem to accept and respect that there was "good" and "bad" in Townsville by joining in the song "Why Can't We All Get Along", and considering this episode was after the events of 'Twas the Fight Before Christmas, this could count as a redeeming quality.
