President Alan Keane is the main antagonist of the The Amazing World of Gumball episode "The Vision."
He's a teal balloon and the imagined, sinister alternative personality of the usually heroic Alan, who seeks to eliminate sadness worldwide by confining miserable people in happiness facilities. His scheme begins when he persuades his classmates to vote him as Elmore Jr. High's president.
He was voiced by Alex Jordan.

- Although he acts affable to everyone, it is purely a facade to hide his true nature.
- He manipulates the student body into supporting him and spreading the idea that he would be a good fit for president without disclosing his true intentions.
- He launches Banana Joe into the dumpster when he's not useful to his plans.
- He feigns the existence of a "Grade Tax" at school in order to cause a riot, which involves the students setting fires and destroying everything at the school. He then takes advantage of this to deliver a speech about the student "awakening," even as he provoked it himself, with him suggesting he will ease their worries.
- He puts up propaganda about the other candidates to slander their campaigns
- He conspires to create a "happy camp" in every town, state and country in the world, within which sad people will be imprisoned and abused while partaking in and being force-fed "joyful" activities and thoughts respectively. They would also be monitored 24/7.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- While he passes the baseline by attempting to imprison all sad people into abusive internment camps worldwide, he ultimately fails the heinous standards of the series to other one-shot characters with similar resources, such as the Virus, who attempted omnicide and has a kill count of 14, and Ant-One, who killed 126 clones of Anton.
- He partially relies on Fridge Horror, as it is not stated exactly how bad conditions will be inside the camps. It's only briefly shown that those who stray away from correction will be whipped and abused, but not much else.
- Despite his ego and hatred of sad people, it is suggested that he is a genuine extremist who wants his victims to be happy, with Gumball remarking how "the road to oblivion is paved with good intentions."
- Just like every other villain in the series, he is played for laughs, being a campy parody of a dictator and making fart noises whenever something is expelled from his balloon knot. Also, the entire idea of the character itself, with Gumball and Darwin imagining Alan turning evil, is portrayed as an exaggerated, comedic misunderstanding.
