| “ | Yes, you called? | „ |
| ~ Phosphora’s catchphrase and most famous quote. |
Phosphora is a minor antagonist in the videogame Kid Icarus: Uprising, making her debut appearance in the 14th stage (and chapter). She is one of Viridi's generals, and her army known as the Forces of Nature.
She was voiced by Yuka Komatsu in Japanese and Kari Wahlgren in English.
Her Evil Ranking[]
Her Villainous Deeds[]
- When she first meets Pit and Palutena, she calls the latter “ma’am”, which gets on Palutena’s nerves since Pit knows she doesn’t like being called that.
- She presumably killed Thanatos during their battle, though he deserved it for killing many people as the God of Death.
- As a general of Viridi, she knowingly aids her in her intended genocide on the Underworld Army, which would have caused innumerable deaths all for the sadistic pleasure of both Viridi and Phosphora herself.
- She goes to the abandoned Thunder Cloud Temple to recharge her powers before her battle with Pit.
- When Pit tried to reach her location, she tries to lower Pit's guard so she can kill him by flirting with him a few times.
- While she compliments Pit many times, some of those compliments are not genuine as they are occasionally tied to her sadism and she calls him cute merely so she can trick him into being murdered by her.
- Upon her defeat, Phosphora showed no remorse for her acts. Though, she does eventually redeem herself.
- She manages to out-heinous Dark Pit by committing additional crimes besides trying to kill the heroes despite him having less resources than her.
- While it's true that she's not as heinous as Hades or the Chaos Kin, they have way more resources.
Why Doesn’t She Stand Out?[]
- While she passes the baseline due to aiding Viridi in her plan to wipe out the Underworld Army, she still fails the heinous standard to her as she doesn’t do anything to stand out on her own.
- She is too comedic for even NPE, as she is seldom treated seriously, flirts with Pit numerous times and cracks some jokes to lighten up the mood every now and then.
- In a way, she is a lawful neutral anti-villain as she is just doing her job as a commander of the Forces of Nature and she just wants to work for Viridi.
- She counts as a well-intentioned extremist as she helps Viridi to spare as much non-human matter as they can over the course of the game.
- She is honorable and has standards as she despises Thanatos for causing hundreds to thousands of deaths and she opposed him during their fight and ended up defeating and possibly killing him off for good, showing that she is disgusted by needless killings.
- She shows some honor and respect for Pit, and despite teasing him a lot, she seems to be in love with him by complimenting him.
- She cares for Palutena and Viridi, wanting to please the latter and appearing to have a healthy friendship with the former. She also has moments of acting like a big sister to Palutena and Viridi too, as they have chats with each other sometimes and after Phosphora redeems herself, Palutena and Viridi both have a soft spot for her.
- While she wasn’t remorseful at first, she later redeems herself by assisting Pit with the Lightning Chariot after the Forces of Nature's Heel–Face Turn, and she stops trying to kill him afterwards, even passing the admirable standard of the franchise as a result to the point of being Inconsistently Admirable.
