The Peering Titan, also known as Comrade D, is a minor antagonist in Attack on Titan. He was an Eldian of Marley from the Liberio internment zone and accomplice of the Owl and Grisha Yeager, being a member of the Eldian Restorationists. After the betrayal of the Restorationist mole from the Marleyan military, Zeke Yeager, he and the rest of the movement were arrested by the Public Security Authorities for treason and exiled to Paradis Island as Pure Titans for eternity.

- He was a member of the Eldian Restorationists, a movement designed to establish the old Eldian Empire back on the map and dismantle Marley so they can dominate its population.
- He showed no opposition to letting Grisha and Dina make their young son Zeke become a Warrior spy for their movement, despite the indoctrination at place.
- After becoming a Titan, he devoured Sergeant Major Gross, although his fate is not sympathetic due to his cruel actions and lack of guilt.
- Still as a Titan, he would attack, kill and devour a number of soldiers during the Battle of Trost.
Why They Don't Stand Out?[]
- He’s incredibly tragic, being forced to live and grow up in Marley as an Eldian, meaning that he was discriminated against so his choice to become a restorationist makes sense from his perspective. His transformation as a titan was also completely against his will. Done by the same nation that was oppressing him.
- His worst crimes, which includes killing young teenagers was done when he was a Titan, which wasn’t done out of his own free will, as a Titan acts like a mindless killing machine with no understanding of the difference between good and evil.
- He massively fails the heinous standard to many other villains in the series that include genocidal mass murderers.
- He’s a very minor character that only has limited screen time, making him lack proper characterization.
