Norbert "Nubbins" Sawyer, also known as the Hitchhiker, is the secondary antagonist of the 1974 horror film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the first installment of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. He is the older brother of Leatherface, the younger brother of Drayton and the twin brother of Chop Top Sawyer. He was portrayed by Edwin Neal.

- It is implied he robbed graves to take the flesh of recently deceased people to eat with his family or to take photos of.
- When in the van with Sally and her friends he freaked them out by showing polaroid pictures of dead cows in the slaughterhouse.
- He cut himself with Franklin’s switchblade laughing as everyone else freaks out.
- He took a picture of Franklin and tried to bribe them into paying $2 for it.
- When they refused, he got out tinfoil and dumped powder onto the photo and lit it on fire only for him to put it out.
- He took out his razor blade and cut Franklin’s arm, causing him to bleed.
- He marked the van with his blood to terrify them.
- He tormented Sally alongside his brothers.
- He bashed Sally with a hammer, causing her to bleed.
- He chased after Sally, later slashing her with his razor.
- While Chop Top Sawyer fought in the Vietnam War, meaning he might have a lot more kills than Nubbins, it is unknown how many people the former killed so the latter still stands out to him.
Why Doesn’t He Stand Out?[]
- Even if he stood out to Chop Top, he still failed the heinous standards to his other family members who had less resources.
- He had a few comedic moments that detract him from heinousness.
- He genuinely cared for his grandpa.
- He is genuinely kind towards his younger brother.
