Nathaniel Moon, also known as Silver Moon, is a major character in the AMC series Into the Badlands.
He is a legendary Clipper in the Badlands, having the highest recorded kill count in history. After reaching his 999th kill, he retired from his role and began living in the Outlands, waiting for a worthy opponent to serve as his 1000th kill. After losing his hand in a battle with Sunny, he returns to the Badlands to help the Widow in exchange for revenge against Sunny.
He was portrayed by Sherman Augustus.

- He acted as the Regent for the Widow's husband for years, killing countless people on the Barons command.
- Acted as a bounty hunter in the Outlands for years before meeting Sunny.
- Tried to force Sunny into a battle to the death, because he believed Sunny was worthy of being his final kill.
- After Sunny defeated Nathaniel but refused to kill him, Nathaniel attempted to charge at Sunny to stab him in the back, only being stopped by Bajie cutting off his hand.
- Joined the Widow to serve as her Regent under the promise that he would get to kill Sunny as revenge for not giving him an honorable death.
- Sparred with a violently beat up M.K. under the Widow's command.
- Attacked the refugee camp in order to kill Tilda, and when Tilda escaped he kidnapped her girlfriend Odessa instead.
- Stabbed a Clipper named Arthur in the shoulder due to him angrily lashing out at the lack of support the Widow had sent to her soldiers.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- He fails the heinous standards of the series, as his worst crimes of acting as Regent to the Widow's Husband is all off-screen villainy, and his time as a bounty hunter relies on Fridge Horror, since he is only ever seen killing other bounty hunters sent to kill Sunny and Bajie and it's unknown if he ever killed anyone who was innocent or didn't attack him first. After becoming the Widow's Regent, his resources increase by a large amount, but he rarely does anything to stand out and even disagrees with many of the Widow's more brutal decisions, only wanting revenge against Sunny, which he ultimately abandons.
- His character is rather tragic, as after leaving to live in the Outlands he tried to live a normal life and started a family, however the brother of a person he killed during his time as a Clipper killed his wife and son as revenge, and after this event Nathaniel realized he could never have a normal life and would instead have to always live as a killer.
- He is generally affable to those around him even if he desires to fight them, as seen in his interactions with Sunny.
- He hated the Widow's husband, and admitted that he considered killing him several times.
- He genuinely loves Lydia, having been attracted to her during his time as a Regent for the Widow's husband, and the two rekindle their romance after he returns to the Badlands to help the Widow.
- Despite initially wanting revenge on Sunny, he eventually gives up on his quest after learning that Sunny has an infant son named Henry, who he doesn't want to turn into an orphan.
- Even after ending his rivalry with Sunny, he decides to stay in the Badlands to continue helping the Widow with her quest to change the Badlands and to pursue his relationship with Lydia.
- After Lydia is killed by Cressida, Nathaniel decides to go after her in order to get revenge, but he makes it clear that it's not about repairing his honor like his feud with Sunny, but instead him wanting justice for Lydia's death.
