Miss Hattie is the secondary antagonist of Illumination's 1st feature film Despicable Me.
She is the cruel owner of the orphanage that Margo, Edith and Agnes used to live in and the owner of the cookies that they're selling to make a living.
She was voiced by Kristen Wiig.

Her Villainous Deeds[]
- She runs an orphanage called the Hattie Orphanage, where she constantly abused the little girls there by forcing them to sell cookies. If the girls didn't get enough money from their sales, she emotionally abused them by putting them in the box of shame.
- She spitefully told Margo, Edith and Agnes that they will never be adopted after Edith gave her a mud pie.
- She didn't hesitate to go back to get the girls from Gru when he apparently wanted to give them back to her, putting them in the box of shame.
- Unlike other Despicable Me villains, she has no redeeming qualities.
- She never faces any punishments for her crimes, making her a Karma Houdini.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- She is a generic abuser whose only crimes don't pass the baseline, which is especially significant given that other villains in Despicable Me intend to commit mass murder on a citywide scale with similar, if not lower resources.
