Mr. Gristle is the secondary antagonist of Laika's 3rd full-length animated feature film The Boxtrolls.

- He was in on the deception that Snatcher brought to Cheesebridge that the Boxtrolls were evil, aiding him for no reason other than sadism.
- He doesn't actually care for his boss as shown when he is very amused at Snatcher's allergy to cheese and enjoyed tossing leeches at him.
- Assisted Snatcher in kidnapping Herbert Trubshaw.
- Chased Eggs and Winnie after they escaped from the Red Hats' headquarters.
- He snatches the remote to Snatcher's machine from Winnie so he could kill Eggs.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He fails the heinous standard to Archibald Snatcher, who is Pure Evil, since his worst actions are just assisting Snatcher's crimes.
- He is very deranged and insane to where he likely has moral agency issues.
- He has several comedic moments that detract from him being a serious threat.
