CURSES!
~ Mojo Jojo's catchphrase and last line in the movie.

Mojo Jojo is the main antagonist of The Powerpuff Girls franchise. He is an anthropomorphic chimpanzee who is the titular super-heroines' arch-nemesis, Professor Utonium's former pet and lab assistant, and creator and first father of the Rowdyruff Boys.

He was voiced by Roger L. Jackson.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

In General[]

  • He loves to be evil and refuses to change.
  • He constantly attacks innocent people and tries to destroy Townsville.
  • Despite being mutated by the Chemical X, he still shows clear moral agency and he knows what he's doing.
  • While HIM is more heinous, he is much more powerful than Mojo, and that comparison would be unfair.
  • Unlike other villains, he does not rely on Fridge Horror, as he is shown to endanger the citizens of Townsville.

The Powerpuff Girls Movie[]

  • Even before he was mutated by Chemical X, he was very mischievous, reckless and destructive, as its stated by Professor Utonium he broke everything he touched.
  • The Professor kicking him out of the house and not even showing any more love for him when the Powerpuff Girls were born is a very petty and invalid excuse for his actions for the following reasons:
    • He was only kicked out for being troublesome and immature, which is supported by his numerous outbursts and tantrums throughout the series.
    • Instead of being happy that he had new family members in his life, he was upset about that fact that the Powerpuff Girls got more attention than he did.
    • The innocent citizens of Townsville that he terrorized had nothing to do with him getting kicked out at all.
  • While he did save the Powerpuff Girls from the Gangreen Gang, it was for pragmatic reasons.
  • He manipulated the Powerpuff Girls into building him a lair on a volcano.
  • He mutated a bunch of monkeys with Chemical X and used them to terrorize Townsville, causing multiple casualties.
  • He kidnapped Professor Utonium and nearly broke his neck when the Powerpuff Girls tried to save him.
  • After overpowering the Powerpuff Girls, Mojo Jojo attempted to coax them into joining him in his goals for world domination.
  • After his first defeat, he decided to spend his days trying to kill the Powerpuff Girls and taking over the world.

In Series[]

  • He stole the Anubis Head and then used it to turn everyone on Earth into dogs so he could force them to do as he pleased twice.
  • In “Telephonies,” he, along with HIM and Fuzzy Lumpkins, viciously beat up the Gangreen Gang after falling victim to their prank calls.
    • While the Gang deserved punishment for tricking the girls into beating up the villains when they didn't do crimes, the way they handled it was to intense.
  • He tricked Professor Utonium into giving him superpowers and then brutally beat up and nearly killed the Powerpuff Girls.
  • He destroyed a bus full of people, killing them instantly.
  • He created the Rowdyruff Boys so that he could use them to kill the Powerpuff Girls, which he actually succeeded in doing albeit temporarily. He also didn't show any sadness or care when the boys died.
  • He pushed the Amoba Boys so he could beat the girls himself.
  • He gave a group of kids Chemical X and ordered them to kill the Powerpuff Girls.
  • He temporarily removed the Powerpuff Girls' powers by splashing Antidote X on them.
  • He wanted to abuse his power as a babysitter and ordered the girls to help him take Townsville.
  • He made a deal with the Powerpuff Girls that for every time they threw him in jail, they would get candy and then break him out of jail in return. However, he later decided to take the candy for himself just to upset the girls for his own amusement.
  • He works together with HIM, Fuzzy and Princess Morbucks, forming a supervillain group called the "Beat-Alls", then falls in love with Moko Jono and becomes annoying to the public which made HIM, Morbucks and Fuzzy decide to abandon him.
  • He tried to kill the past version of Professor Utonium so that the Powerpuff Girls would cease to exist. However, this would backfire as he would cease to exist too as he's technically the actual person who made the girls.
  • While he did save the world from the Alien Leader, he only did it so he would prove he was the most evil villain ever.
  • He threatened to kill Professor Utonium unless Blossom submitted to him.
  • He had a group of hippies prevent him from the Powerpuff Girls trying to stop him so he could take over the world.
  • He nearly broke up the Powerpuff Girls by pouring water on their bed and making them think they peed the bed just because he didn't like them.
  • He kidnapped the narrator and impersonated him so he could get the Powerpuff Girls to do whatever he said.
  • He tried to get Bubbles to give him 1000 gallons of Chemical X by pretending to hold Octi hostage.
  • He tricked the Mayor of Townsville into giving him the key to the world, and while he did make the world a better place and redeem himself, he eventually regretted it and went back to his evil ways.
  • He turned the Powerpuff Girls into robots to make them his slaves, leaving them in an And I Must Scream fate.

Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]

  • While he doesn't rely on Fridge Horror, the series doesn't show exact number of people Mojo Jojo might have killed during most of his rampages in Townsville despite destroying many buildings or vehicles. As a result of this (although HIM is much more powerful than Mojo, and it would unfair to compare the two, and Mojo still passes the baseline standards), he fails the heinous standard to Dick Hardly, who created several defective Powerpuff Girls, who ended up decomposing and dying over time (which technically counts as mass filicide) with fewer resources than Mojo Jojo.
  • Although he was mostly taken seriously in the film, which is chronologically his first appearance, he later becomes too comedic for Pure Evil or even Near Pure Evil, as he becomes rarely taken seriously, is played for laughs for too much, and can be a scapegoat as there are times, especially in the events of episode "Candy Is Dandy".
  • Even though he mainly did it for pragmatic reasons, he saved Townsvile from being taken over by the alien leader and never betrayed the girls after saving the day.
  • He shows some care for the Rowdyruff Boys, as he was happy when they said the only thing that mattered was destroying the Powerpuff Girls.
  • He’s shown to have some standards, such as being disgusted as how Buttercup punched all the villain's teeth to take them for money or when he, HIM and Fuzzy teach the Gangreen Gang a lesson for prank calling. Also, in "Custody Battle" he called out HIM for making the sun go closer to Earth to destroy it and saying that it was stupid and horrified that Professor Utonium used to bully and prank others when he was a child.
  • He actually celebrates Christmas and doesn't plan on ruining the holiday for anyone else, unlike Princess Morbucks.
  • He gave the Mayor his ice cream machine with no tricks involved.
  • He is one of the villains to sing "Why Can't We All Get Along", showing despite him being a villain, he accepts and respects that there is a "good" and "bad" in Townsville despite his villainy, showing that he has redeeming qualities.
  • In Meet the Beat Alls, he falls in love with a monkey name Moko Jono and was liking her. When the Powerpuff Girls said "the Beat-Alls is over", he said he doesn't care for HIM, Fuzzy and Morbucks as long as he can fall in love with Moko Jono and was saddened when it was revealed that Moko Jono was just an ordinary non mutated monkey and sadly said "you took my love away".

Trivia[]

  • While the Original Series's Mojo Jojo is qualified as Villainous Benchmark due to falling the heinous standards to Dick Hardly, his Reboot counterpart is likely Inconsistently Heinous.
