Mayu's Mother & Stepfather are minor antagonists of the Elfen Lied Fanfiction What If... Tomoo Survived The Orphanage Massacre? where they are based on Mayu's Mother and Stepfather from the original series. Here they ended up becoming greedy gamblers after dumping Mayu to the Maple Inn where they would be confronted by Lucy after learning what they done and ultimately end up being killed for what they done to her friend.

Their Villainous Deeds[]

  • Like their original counterparts they abused Mayu into running away while blaming her as the problem and Mayu's mother only handing her over to Kouta so they can get rid of her.
  • They would end up becoming gamblers who would abuse random people in Mayu's place without her to use as a punching bag.
  • Unlike their original versions they are not Karma Houdinis due to getting punished for their actions when Lucy learned what they did from Mayu she would get mad and decided to not let them get away after hearing what they did to Mayu.
    • When they were confronted by Lucy her a disgusting creature for her horns meaning they are also racist where the Stepfather tried to attack Lucy but are restrained by her Vectors
    • After the beating by Lucy which is not played for sympathy due to them badmouthing her.
    • When Mayu followed them they begged her to convince Lucy to spare them and would apologize for their actions but Mayu knew it was only to win her back and saying the mother she knew and love is gone as she regretfully slowly walk away to their fate as they beg for her.
      • Mayu feeling that the mother she knew and love is gone is not for sympathy as she saw her mother become that evil and rotten upon seeing her falling that far low which destroyed any last sympathy she had for her also was due to her remorseful personality too she didn't want them to be killed by Lucy but know she can't feel guilty due to what they did to her.
    • Their brutal deaths by Lucy's hands well played for karma for what they did to her friend Mayu bringing them to justice unlike their original versions who got away with punishment.

Why Don't They Stand Out?[]

  • While committing the same crimes and some of extra crimes in the story are enough to pass the baseline, like their counterparts the heinous standards are too high to stand out due to brutal murders being a commonplace like the main series.
  • Like their counterparts they shown to care for each other as when they were at Lucy's mercy they shown concern for the other making their love more explicitly confirmed.

  • They are the only Elfen Lied Villainous Benchmarks to also share the same ranking as their original versions.
