ā€œ What are you doing behind that plant? ā€ž
~ Maude bugging Dog Man.
ā€œ Li'l Petey: Oh no! She's the cop that hates Dog Man!
Maude: That's right! So you better watch your step, 'cuz there's a new chief in town!

~ Maude after catching Chief's hat, making her temporary chief.

Maude is a supporting antagonist in Dav Pilkey's Dog Man novel series.

She is a corrupt member of the COPS who work alongside fellow police officers, Dog Man and Chief. With a furious hatred for Dog Man, she takes any opportunity to bully him with her friend, the Mean Cop. She goes as far as attempting to rule the world in spite of Dog Man. Because of this, she is one of Dog Man's two arch-nemeses, along with Dr. Scum.

Her Evil Ranking[]

Her Villainous Deeds[]

In General[]

  • She harasses Dog Man along with the Mean Cop countless of times throughout the series.

Dog Man series[]

  • She and the Mean Cop arrest Dog Man for bank robbing when Dog Man was never the person who committed the crime. They even sadistically laugh at him while doing so, calling him a misfit and bringing his hopes down.
  • She and the Mean Cop yell at Dog Man to leave as fast as he could from the police station due to being fired, with them saying Dog Man should've been fired a long time ago.
  • After collecting a temporary promotion to police chief, she threatens to fire Dog Man again.
  • After running over Dog Man, who had recently been sprayed by a skunk, she chases Dog Man for getting his skunk scent onto her.
  • While chasing Dog Man, she runs over the Judge, who trips and lands on a supporting pillar of the city hall, causing it to collapse.
  • She agrees to work with the Judge to use their powers to become unstoppable.
  • She kidnaps Dog Man in a net and sends him to a courtroom.
  • She has the Judge give an unlawful punishment for Dog Man of infinity.
  • She reveals that when Chief came back, she and the Judge would fire him immediately.
  • She sends her A.I. Buddy to run the city while she scrolls through social media, revealing that she was never planning to do anything with her power after arresting Dog Man and Chief.

Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]

  • While her mass harassment and abuse of power to an unlawful arrest does pass the baseline, she fails the massive heinous standard of the series to characters such as Piggy and many other villains in the series, who have done much worse actions.
  • She is shown to have a genuine friendship with the Mean Cop and the Judge.
  • Her plan of becoming unstoppable falls under Fridge Horror, as it's unknown what she means in this claim or in what way she would do so.
  • While her crimes are taken serious in-universe, she has many comedic moments that detract from her villainy, such as constantly being sprayed by a skunk or not caring for losing her power and staying on her phone.
