Marty Wolf has been hunted down for the soul to be collected for the following reason(s):
Fails the baseline.

Please discuss it on the talk page for this article.

Stop X

You can take it from me. The truth? It's overrated
~ Marty's most famous quote

Martin Wolf, commonly known as Marty Wolf, is the main antagonist of the 2002 theatrical teenage comedy film Big Fat Liar.

He is an incompetent, greedy, and dishonest film producer who seeks to gain riches and rectify his poor reputation due to his series of mediocre films in the past few years. To do so, he steals the brilliant paper of Jason Shepherd so he could turn it into a movie.

He was portrayed by Paul Giamatti

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • Marty is an incredibly rude and egotistical film director, always ready to put down his own employees and believes he is able to do whatever he wants. His actions include:
    • Dismissing the request to check up on Jason after he crashed into the car until the driver stopped for him and he saw he could have been seriously hurt.
    • Firing Frank Jackson, his actor, after he requested Wolf for an acting role. He also taped the words "LOSER" on his forehead and mailed it to every acting company in the city.
    • Stereotypical remarks about Asians to his Asian cameraman.
    • Mocking the weight of the senior VP of publicity by calling her "Senior VP of twenties".
    • Sexually harassing his assistant Monty, as well as repeatedly browbeating Monty.
    • Mocking his stunt-double Vince as "Father Time", as well as ripping up his birthday card for his grandson.
    • Mocking one of his effects experts by calling him a geek boy.
    • Rudely dismissed Jaleel White, by purposefully calling him Urkel as well as mocking him.
    • Purposefully calling Sandra, the wife of the studio president Shaniqua.
  • Stole Jason Shepherd's paper from his backpack and purposefully ignored to at least acknowledge the source.
  • When Jason confronted Marty, he vandalized the paper by burning it with a cigar and pouring alcohol on it.
  • Later on in the film, when Jason agreed to help Marty with sustaining the film's production just so Marty can call his dad, Marty lied to Jason and called security.
  • Marty admitted to stealing Jason's paper at the climax of the film, before taunting him that no-one (supposedly) saw or heard him.
  • After being exposed as a thief, he attempted to assault Jason Shepherd.

Why He Don't Stand Out?[]

  • His actions are at worst jerk behavior, and he does not do anything heinous enough to pass the baseline.
  • He is played for laughs many times in the movie, and he is hard to take seriously due to this.
  • He still reluctantly let Jason into his car when he saw he was hurt.
