NOTE: This only covers the Male and Female MUTOs from 2014 Godzilla film as 2019's one crimes all offscreen and MUTO Prime as her own separate page, while the entire species isn’t allowed to be morally ranked on the wiki as a whole, so only info on the Male and Female MUTOs’ actions from the 2014 Godzilla film will be on here.

The Male and Female MUTOs are the main antagonists of the Godzilla (2014) Movie. They are parasitic kaiju who are the offspring of MUTO Prime who are enemies of Godzilla species. They are the archenemies of Ford Brody.

Their Evil Ranking[]

Their Villainous Deeds[]

In General[]

  • Despite their instincts, they shown just enough characterization to not be “Generic Doomsday" Villains despite being mute.
  • While it is true thar King Ghidorah does worse, they lack his resources and power over all Titans, having less resources to work with and can't be compared to the human villains.

Godzilla (2014)[]

  • The Male MUTO would cause a nuclear power plant meltdown, killing some people, including Sandra Brody, and years later when he escapes, he killed Ford's father (although indirectly) alongside many people where he would rampage in Honolulu before fighting Godzilla and heading to meet up with the Female MUTO.
  • The Female MUTO breaks out and rampages through many cities such as Las Vegas, and later attacks a train carrying a nuke before heading off away, killing every soldier there except for Ford Brody.
  • They would end up meeting in San Francisco where the Male MUTO killed some soldiers and sank a ship before heading off to meet and mate with their offspring, where the female would lay eggs. It was theorized by Emma Russell in Godzilla: Aftershock their offspring will overwhelm the Earth’s eco system.
  • They would attempt to kill Godzilla and almost succeeded if not for the eggs being destroyed in a fiery explosion that made the Female MUTO rush over seeing to her eggs.
  • The Female MUTO would end up trying to attack and kill Ford Brody while trying to recover the nuke nearly come close in getting him only saved by Godzilla’s intervention being blasted by Godzilla's atomic breath.
  • Both the MUTOs' deaths by Godzilla would be played for satisfaction for their crimes and actions.
  • Their actions would effect the future of the MonsterVerse having a massive impact on the series in the future films:
    • It led to MUTO Prime waking up from hibernation, almost killing Godzilla during the fight, being responsible for shattering his dorsal plates with her sonic roar, forcing Godzilla to hibernate in Algeria's Sahara desert where he would heal his dorsal plates looking similar to his Toho's villainous 1954 counterpart.
    • It would eventually make them have Walter Simmons go through the efforts to protect humankind from the Titans, which lead to Mechagodzilla's creation in Godzilla vs. Kong.
    • It would push the world's governments and some of the people to wanting to exterminate the Titans, which would lead to Alan Jonah and Emma Russell's actions which would lead them to free King Ghidorah and cause the events of Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
    • It would lead to the events of Monarch Legacy of Monsters, where humanity built Titan shelters and defenses around the world in any case a Titan would invade.
    • It would also lead to the creation of the Titan Hunter in Godzilla x Kong: The Hunted.

Why Don't They Stand Out?[]

  • While mass murdering multiple soldiers and endangering entire cities are enough to pass the general baseline, they fail the heinous standards of the MonsterVerse as while can’t be compared to King Ghidorah they fail the heinous standards to Kraken, Skar King and Mechagodzilla (who it fails the standards itself) to go up any higher rankings for the following reasons:
    • Them overwhelming humanity with their offspring falls under fridge-horror as it was not explicitly stated on how bad it is in the movie to be valid and same for any rampages offscreen as well.
    • While they did cause damage passing by in human cities, they were unaware of the humans in there being victims collateral damage until they end up becoming aware of the humans later on in the movie and shown to mostly ignore them save for the ones who attacked them or wronged them which limits their heinousness, meaning their rampages through cities was unintentionally heinous. As while Kraken didn’t rampage in a city, it was aware of the humans on Skull Island and his causalities was far was intentional, similar reasons for Skar King as he was aware of the humans in Rio Brazil and intentionally terrorized them more or even Mechagodzilla who despite failing the other two due to just destroying one city, it was more intentionally due to it being aware of humans it was endangering in its attack despite having moral agency issues. The impact afterwards the two MUTOs causes was also unintentionally heinous due to them being unaware humans would try to want to kill the Titans.
  • They shown to care for each other and their offspring as they protected each other from Godzilla. The Female MUTO was heavily upset when her offspring’s eggs were killed somewhat justifying her anger towards Ford Brody, making her mourning and avenging her deceased offspring somewhat played for minor sympathy.
  • They have moral agencies due to them driven by their instincts to reproduce, though it is a minor prevention since Titans have shown to have moral agencies. This also makes them morally Grey-Zoned and a Villains by Proxies since all only intended to met and reproduce as well.

Trivia[]

  • If the casualties from their rampages weren't unintentionally heinous nor their worst crimes didn't suffer from fridge-horror they would be heinous enough to be Inconsistently Heinous since they would cause more damage than other Titans allowing them to standout from the Kraken since they can't be compared to Skar King, King Ghidorah or the human villains.
