Villainous Benchmark Wiki
NOTE: This page is about the version of Lucas Lee from the anime.

Whatever.
~ His catchphrase.
Agent : You are one mistake away from movie jail!
Lucas Lee : Good thing I've got a get out jail free card: this smile.
~ Lucas talking to his talent agent on the phone.

Lucas Lee is a major supporting character from the 2023 Netflix original anime Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, which is loosely based on the Scott Pilgrim comics and film.

He is Ramona Flowers' second ex-boyfriend and a former member of the League of Evil Exes.

He was voiced by Chris Evans, who reprises his role from the 2010 film Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • He accepted Gideon Graves' offer to be a member of the League of Evil Exes, and was willing to help them kill anyone who tries dating Ramona Flowers.
  • After Matthew Patel defeated Gideon in battle and became leader of the League, he abandoned Gideon without hesitation and began working for Patel.
  • When Ramona visited him while investigating Scott's disappearance, he showed no concern for Scott's well-being and was even happy that he was gone.
    • He was also completely fine playing Scott in Young Neil's biography film about him, despite his "death" being fairly recent, and didn't care to accurately portray who he was as a person.
  • After being cornered by paparazzi ninjas, he killed dozens of them with his skateboarding skills during his attempt to escape their cameras.
  • In general, he's an arrogant and narcissistic jerk who only cares about fame, money, and attention, lacking any integrity and is fine selling out to movie studios and talent agencies while not caring about the quality or ethics of the movies he stars in.
    • He told Ramona at one point that he only became a successful actor out of jealousy and spite towards her leaving him for Todd, and that he keeps the skateboard he broke out of anger in his room.

Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]

  • While his high kill count would normally be enough for him to pass the heinous standards, it fails to stand out due to the paparazzi lacking proper characterization and mostly serving as cannon fodder.
  • He's shown to have standards, since he told Ramona that he disproves of Scott dating a 17-year-old and asserts thst he'd "never do anything that stupid".
  • Despite his cockiness toward her, he genuinely cares for Ramona, and finally decided to move on from her.
  • He has a genuine friendship with Gideon after making amends with him. He even spent several days playing video games and building an in-door skatepark with him, in an effort to cheer him up after he was kicked out of the League and had everything taken from him by Matthew Patel.
  • He ultimately redeems him by helping Ramona, Scott, and everyone else defeat Older Scott.
  • Overall, he is very comedic and constantly played for laughs, especially after retiring from movie stardom and becoming a barista.

Trivia[]

  • Only his anime counterpart counts as a Villainous Benchmark, as his comic counterpart is a bog-standard "Kill the Heroes" villain.
