His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • Beside Black Walder Frey he came to a meeting with Robb to convince him to marry his uncle, Edmure Tully to one of their sisters, Roslyn Frey, with the purpose of bringing them to the Twins so the Freys would kill Robb and his allies.
  • Helps orchestrate the Red Wedding, where Robb and Catelyn Stark are murdered along with most of their allies. He even personally stabs the pregant Talisa to death.
  • After Walder becomes Lord of Riverrun and Brandon Tully manages to take it over, Lothar takes the Frey army to overthrow him. When he and his brother are unsuccessful, they seeked help from House Lannister.
    • Although the battle was ultimately averted it costs Bryndon Tully his life and almost ended in the death of Edmure's son, had he not cooperated with them.
  • He shares in the threat on Edmure's life, although they stopped it when they realized it wouldn't stop Bryndon Tully.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • While he's helping to plan the Red Wedding, which crosses the baseline, still he fails too far in relation to the actions of the other fighters in the series and despite his involvement in the Red Wedding he only murdered one woman and another pregnant child, unlike many who murdered many in the Red Wedding as well. Also it was his father's and Roose Bolton's idea (with Tywin Lannister's encouragement) and he was just fulfilling their plan.
  • He has some care for his family as he seems to reassure his brother who turns to confront Jamie.

Trivia[]

  • Only the TV version of Lothar Frey is a Benchmark villain since his book counterpart was approved as Near Pure Evil.
