Lord Crump is one of the two the secondary antagonists (alongside Bowser) of the 2004 video game Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and its 2024 remake of the same name.

He is the bumbling second-in-command and field leader of the X-Nauts, as well as Sir Grodus' personal enforcer. He steals the second Crystal Star, the Emerald Star, and fights Mario with Magnus Von Grapple, and guards the seventh Crystal Star, the Crystal Star with Magnus Von Grapple 2.0. Hoping to steal the fifth Crystal Star, the Sapphire Star, he (rather poorly) disguises himself and goes under the name of Four-Eyes in Chapter 5: The Key to the Pirates.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • Throughout the game, he tried collecting the Crystail Stars for Grodus for his world domination plans.
  • He interrogates Goombella and threatens her for information but gets defeated with Mario's help.
  • He attempted to detonate a bomb in the Great Boggly Tree, which would lead to the complete genocide on the Punies.
  • In Chapter 5, he disguises himself and pretends to be Mario's ally in an attempt at tricking them into helping him get the Crystail Star in Keelhaul Key.
  • At the end of Chapter 5, he tries to sink a ship with Toads and other members of Mario's allies in an attempted at getting the Crystail Star from them.
  • While not as heinous as Count Bleck, Dimentio, and Shadow Queen, he has lesser resources than them as the former two has multiversal weaponary and the latter is an extremely powerful entity.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • While he does pass the baseline for his genocide attempt on the Punies, he fails the standards to Beldam who, with similar or lesser resources, knew how dangerous the Shadow Queen was and that she would cause world destroying damage if released and actively tricked Grodus into releasing her.
  • He redeemed as he was seen bonding with Grodus and the rest of the X Nauts at the end of the game in Poshley Heights.
  • He is too comedic to qualify as Near Pure Evil such as breaking the fourth wall in Chapter 5 where he tells the player not to tell Mario his identity when he was disguise and numerous ridiculously hammy laughter and lines,
