Li'l Gideon: The entire Pines family hath invoked my fury! You will all pay recompense for your transgressions!" Stanley Pines: "What, you got, like, a word-a-day calendar, or something?

~ Li'l Gideon and Stanley Pines
Li'l Gideon is the secondary antagonist of Disney's Gravity Falls franchise. He is a rich 9-year-old who harbors limerence for Mabel Pines and does everything in his power to force her to be with him until he learns to be a better person. He is also an on-and-off ally of the evil Bill Cipher.
Although he had no idea about Weirdmageddon when he first summoned Bill Cipher and likely wouldn't do it if he had, the triangle does enlighten him later down the line, subverting his ignorance.
The reason he commits the majority of his crimes is all because Mabel Pines, a girl three years older than him, put him in the friend zone, which is very petty even for a little child.
Season 1[]
He spies on people by having tiny cameras on the badges he hands out so he can pretend to be a telepath and make dirty money off of it.
When Mabel, his short-lived girlfriend, begins pulling away, he blames her twin brother Dipper and tries to kill him with scissors.
He makes numerous attempts to steal the Mystery Shack out from under Stanley Pines, rebuking their previous deal in the process. He even tries to trick him into forcing a contract, only to be rightfully told to suck on a lemon.
He summons Bill Cipher so he can invade Stanley's mind and find the code to Stan's safe which he puts his deed in.
When Bill failed to retrieve the code, he destroyed the safe with dynamite and claimed the deed to the Mystery Shack for himself. Because of this, Dipper and Mabel almost had to leave Gravity Falls for good.
When he learned that he was missing one of the journals, he assumed Dipper had it and chased him and Mabel down in a giant robot. He ended up injuring Dipper and capturing Mabel, declaring his intention to rule over Gravity Falls and force Mabel to become his "queen."
Season 2[]
He attempts to deviously orchestrate his father's election as the Mayor of Gravity Falls so that he can pardon him out of prison and allow him to rule over the town. When his father begins to do terribly in the election, Gideon resorts to painfully taking control of him so that he can speak through him during the final election.
He tries to trap Dipper and Mabel within the statue of the town's previous mayor. When Stan rescued them, he furiously tried to have his father blow them up.
He expresses excitement upon seeing that Bill has entered his reality and unleashed Weirdmageddon. He, along with his recently freed inmates, assist Bill by guarding Mabel's prison bubble. Upon surrounding Dipper and Wendy Corduroy, he and the freed inmates intend to hand them over to Bill as prisoners.
Ultimately, he initially doesn't care how much chaos and destruction Bill causes as long as he is able to defeat his enemies and keep Mabel trapped.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
While he definitely passes the general standards due to painfully possessing his own father and cannot be compared to Bill Cipher due to his greater resources, he fails the high heinous standard to Darlene, an inhuman serial killer, Preston Northwest and the Lumberjack Ghost, who both intended for dozens of partygoers to endure an "And I Must Scream" fate, Grunkle Stan who endangered the universe and Nathaniel Northwest, who killed forty-one innocent people (he fails the heinous standard himself) but is less redeemable. Although he's the one who summoned Bill in the first place, he had no idea he was an omnicidal maniac yet, and after learning about Weirdmageddon his brief assistance was very minor with Bill's Henchmaniacs contributing more. Resources don't help because he's extremely wealthy and has magical artifacts.
Additionally, although he planned to rule Gravity Falls, it's not made clear how bad his rule would actually be, making him rely on Fridge Horror.
He has numerous moments where he isn't taken seriously, such as when he needs to be picked up to show he isn’t a threat to be taken lightly, when Stanley Pines roasts him on multiple occasions (such as asking if he has a word-a-day calendar, sarcastically complimenting his Pioneer Day outfit, or telling him to suck on a lemon), and when he has an entire series of misadventures with crystals that grow and shrink matter.
He loves Mabel and this is proven to be genuine. He's still a naïve little boy at the end of the day, and when he had his first date he sincerely developed tender feelings for her. While he's shown several concerning signs of limerence, he is still completely sincere about his loving care for Mabel. To drive the turning point home, when Dipper teaches him he can't force or rush love (something no one has ever told Li'l Gideon before), he takes it to heart and stops trying to woo her, even coming to her birthday party to support her as a friend, not a lover.
He also has a sincere bond with his prison inmates, who even say he makes prison life worth living.
He was tortured by Bill Cipher by forcing him to do a cute dance in a cage for the rest of eternity after he betrayed him, much to his own despair.
Around the end of the series, he redeems himself by turning against Bill Cipher wholly and tries to learn to live like a normal kid to a certain degree, showing he is not irredeemable in any sense of the word.
