Lester Crest is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Lamar Davis) of Grand Theft Auto V and the deuteragonist of its spin-off Grand Theft Auto Online.
He is an old and crippled friend of Michael De Santa and helps him throughout his criminal career, including his heists which often involves their associates Trevor Philips and Franklin Clinton as well. He suffers from a wasting disease that has gradually worn down his motor skills during his life, leaving him wheelchair-bound. However, he can walk short distances with the use of a cane. He also suffers from asthma.
He was voiced by Jay Klaitz.

His Villainous Deeds[]
- He is loyal to Michael De Santa and Trevor Philips, serving as a regular member of their heist crews since the start of their partnership, working mostly as the crew's planner and information scout for the upcoming heists.
- He was involved with stock fraud and corporate assassinations for a large chunk of his career.
- After reuniting with Michael by learning that the latter merely faked his death, Lester agreed to help him gain money by having Michael assassinate Jay Norris so that Lester can make a profit by buying Lifeinvader shares at minimal price, only to sell them at inflated ones later.
- Throughout Grand Theft Auto V, Lester helps the protagonists in the heists and help them in it's set ups. He helps the characters plan out a robbery on a county bank to finance an FIB operation.
- He helps carry out a break in on the FIB headquarters to delete files about the team and Agent Steve Haines.
- He tasks Franklin with assassinating certain people to help reduce stock market prices, one of which was Brett Lowery, the CEO of Bilkington Research.
- In Ending C, the canon ending, Franklin contacts Lester and asks for help, only for Lester to plan on having Trevor and Michael both killed at the beginning. This is redeemed shortly after though, as he then plans out on how Franklin can save both their lives.
- After brainstorming about Haines and Devin's weaknesses, he lures Haines' corrupt FIB Agents and Weston's private very own Merryweather battalion of soldiers to a foundry where the trio along with Lamar must kill all of them off.
- He acquires the locations of all the protagonists' enemies, allowing them to kill all of them in cold blood.
- In Grand Theft Auto Online, he provides the player with multiple missions, but not all of them are for righteous reasons, but greedy and self-serving purposes.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- While he did assist Michael, Franklin and Trevor in the majority of their crimes, he fails the high heinous standard of the franchise, being a generic minion with one direct murder to his name. In contrast, while he can't be compared to Avon Hertz, Donald Love, Hans Nemesis, Frank Tenpenny, Eddie Pulaski or Cliffford who have way more resources than him, nor Marty Jay Williams, Catalina, Claude Speed, Carl Johnson, Toni Cipriani or Asuka Kasen who have similar resources, but exist in a different continuity, he still fails the heinous standards to Trevor Philips, Eddie Low, Ray Bulgarin and Dimitri Rascalov, who have all done far worse with less resources, with the aforementioned four villains having kill counts in the double digits and way more despicable acts under their belts.
- He is tragic as he suffers from a wasting disease that has gradually worn down his motor skills during his life, leaving him wheelchair-bound. He also suffers from asthma.
- He is played for laughs many times throughout the game and is overall not taken seriously.
- He has a genuine friendship with Michael, Franklin and Trevor, as he assists them in committing their crimes and his loyalty to Michael and Trevor is completely genuine too as he doesn't plan to betray them at any point.
- He played a big part in the defeat of Devin Weston and the other criminals who double crossed the three protagonists of Grand Theft Auto V. He also helped the IAA to stop Avon Hertz and Cliffford's plot, making Lester On & Off.
- He can be considered a scapegoat as he was nicknamed "Lester the Molester" by Trevor even though he wasn't comfortable with that.
