Is that all there is to it? Hector, you are a silly man.
~ Lenore's last words to Hector before disintegrating by the sun.

Lenore is a major antagonist in Netflix's Castlevania series and is Carmilla's sister. She is part of the Council of Sister, which is lead by Carmilla and the other members are Striga and Morana. Her role in the story is to make Hector a slave for the council to complete their goals and have him create a monster army for them. Despite that, she became a lover for Hector even though her sisters disapproved of the relationship.

She was voiced in English by Jessica Brown Findlay, and by Ayaka Kurogi in the Japanese dub.

Her Evil Ranking[]

Her Villainous Deeds[]

  • She participated in Carmilla's plan for control of human regions that she wanted.
  • She mentioned to Hector topics such as torture and eating people, implying that she eats people.
  • She tricked and seduced Hector into having sex with her, which could count as rape by deception.
  • She manipulated Hector and formed a bond with him only in the end to turn him into a slave, in order for him to create an army of night creatures for them to rule the world.
  • Due to turning Hector into a slave and mentioning that he will satisfy her, it is implied that she sexually abused him.
  • She gave three rings to her sisters as a precaution that if Hector plans to rebel against them the night creatures would not follow him and turn against them since the rings show that they are bounded to them.
  • When Hector was shocked that he is turned into a slave and became uncomfortable with the fact, she told him that it is a better fate than death and does not see a problem with it, dismissing his feelings, although it was not intentional.
  • She treated Hector as a pet not as a person: using a leash on him to go on walks, putting him into a cage and reffering to him as one constantly.
  • Hector was constantly physically abused by her sisters and while she did not abuse him directly it is still her fault for that, because she enslaved him.

Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • While she does pass the general baseline due to her personal villainy towards Hector by turning him into a slave resulting in him being abused by her sisters and playing a major role in Carmilla's plans, she still fails the immensely high heinous standards to Carmilla, who tried to enslave every other human in order to eat them where Lenore only enslaved Hector.
  • She has a tragic backstory as she told Hector that her parents were killed by English soldiers when she was a young child, which lead her to despise war.
  • She cares for those closest to her:
    • Despite turning Hector into her slave, she did love him and was protective of him when Carmilla has her suspicions on him and abused him.
      • She is not intentionally malicious towards him as she seems to geniuenly believe that turning Hector into a slave and treating him like a pet is a way of showing her love towards him, and believed it was a better fate than being killed or tortured by her sisters.
      • After Hector imprisons her into a magical force field, in order to aid Isaac she had the opportunity to foil his plans by using the magical ring on Hector to cause him pain but chooses not to.
    • She genuinely cares for Carmilla, Striga and Morana as everything she did was for them, was geniuenly loyal to them and often enjoyed spending time together with them.
    • She also cared for her birth parents being saddened when they were killed in a war by English soldiers.
  • She does not seem to have goals of her own besides serving her sisters because she mentions that she does not seek conquest and prefer stability while viewing herself as diplomat.
  • Like Striga and Morana, she strongly dislikes Carmilla's catastrophic plans and questions her sanity, showing that she has standards.
  • Her death is played for sympathy as she is tired of her existence and mention that vampires are strongly against change. So, no matter what, Lenore always feels this way as she lost her purpose and the change of her environment. Lenore chooses to commit suicide hoping that Hector would be happy without her. She also apologized to him for how she treated him.
