Konan is a supporting antagonist in the Naruto anime and manga series. Originally one of Jiraiya's students, she formed the Akatsuki alongside Nagato and Yahiko, until the fall of the Yahiko turned them into a terrorist group where she became a right-hand.

Her Villainous Deeds[]
- Along with her friends she would steal from food vendors (although they did this so they wouldn’t starve.)
- She aided the Akatsuki terrorist group as Pain's right-hand by hiring rogue Shinobi (with her directly inviting Sasori, a mass-murderer who turns people into puppets as well as Hidan, a mass-murdering satanist), taking Tailed Beasts from their hosts by killing them and planning to destroy the world to teach people the value of pain.
- Along with Nagato, she tyrannically took over the Rain Village from Hanzō and spied on all of the citizens there.
- She helps Nagato destroy the Leaf Village and mass murder multiple civilians.
Why Doesn’t She Stand Out?[]
- She fails the High Heinous Standard to a multitude of other villains, especially considering most of her villainous actions are done under Nagato (and Obito's) orders.
- She is an anti-villain as alongside Nagato, she is motivated by a desire to bring people pain so they understand how much it hurts and want to stop wars.
- She is incredibly tragic as she grew up an orphan in a war-zone and desired to create a peace group but only to have her best friend and lover killed in front of her.
- She cares greatly for her friends and is mainly motivated by her loyalty to them. Even though she helped kill him, she cared greatly for her master Jiraiya as well.
- She is generally affable to most people and has some degree of honor.
- She redeems herself after Naruto hears out her and Nagato's backstory and becomes motivated by his desire for peace, then becomes heroic and tries to stop Obito by herself.
- Her death is played with heavy sympathy as she remembers her friends and Sensei.
