King Gristle Sr. is the overarching antagonist of DreamWorks' thirty-third full length animated feature film Trolls. He is the former king of the Bergens, who was Prince Gristle's father and Chef's former Master.
He was voiced by John Cleese.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- He is responsible for the events happen in the film because he wanted to feed the Trolls to the Bergens.
- He told his son Prince Gristle when he was young he was nervous to eat his first troll.
- When Chef caught a bunch of fake Trolls he was angry and demand Chef Bergen and the rest of his Bergens to find the Trolls everywhere by digging the ground.
- He banished the Chef Bergen for failing to capture a Troll for Prince Gristle and for ruining Trollstice day.
- He told to Prince Gristle, his son that he would never ever ever be happy, meaning that there is nothing that will make Prince Gristle happy.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He fails the heinous standards to Chef Bergan and Creek. While King Gristle Sr. was responsible of the events of the film allowing him to pass the baseline, he has way higher resources than both Creek and Chef Bergan:
- Chef Bergan capturing the Trolls and has wanted to feed them by the Bergens, being even worse than him, since she was desperate in doing so to keep Trollstice on happening and she has lower resources than him.
- Creek abandoned his Trolls species and sells them to Chef Bergen just to save his own skin.
- He does care for his kingdom of Bergens and his son as he created the day of Trollstice to make them happy when they eat a Troll because that is what he believes that eating only a Troll makes a Bergan happy. He even told his son that he was also nervous when he eat his first Troll and said to him that's my boy and he banished Chef Bergen for failing to make his son happy showing deeply how he cares for him.
