~ King Dice announcing to the Devil that he has Cuphead. |
King Dice is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Henchman) in the 2022 Netflix animated series The Cuphead Show!.
He is the Devuncer ormer, self-proclaimed number one, and the former beloved announcer of the game show Roll the Dice. Despite being beloved by Inkwell and promising that the participants of his game will receive prizes, in reality, he actually uses the game show to bring more souls to the Devil.
He was voiced by Wayne Brady.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- While Cala Maria and The Devil do worse, Dice has less resources than all of them.
Season 1[]
- He has been helping the Devil collect souls by tricking contestants into coming onto his game show, playing his trivia games and win them, and then sent to a prize room where their souls would get sucked out and sent into a vault.
- Upon meeting Cuphead and recognizing him on a wanted poster, he attempts to get his soul taken for the Devil by trying to help him win the rounds only for Cuphead to end up leaving the show and King Dice ending up getting crushed by a tire.
Season 2[]
- After the Devil has King Dice go along with the demons he hired to capture Cuphead and Mugman, King Dice proceeds to get the demons killed one by one so that he can capture Cuphead by himself by having the 2 Scorpion demons use their stingers to kill the Spider Demon, tricking the two scorpion demons into killing each other by having them sting each other by accident while trying to sting King Dice, having a bat-eye demon and a vulture demon be burned to ashes by the small fire-breathing demon, and causing the small fire-breathing demon to sneeze and burn itself to ashes.
- He then attempts to capture Cuphead with a net only to end up being literally frozen in terror upon spotting the four horsemen the Devil sent out.
Season 3[]
- He tried to make Cuphead sign a contract that would give his soul to the Devil for enternity.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- While he passes the in-general standard, he fails the heinous standard to Henchman, who gave the Devil the idea to cause mass chaos in town with no resources at all, making Dice fail the in-story standard.
- He is played for laughs too much to be NPE with comedic moments like telling a telephone to not touch him, Cuphead trying to make the show "Roll the Dice" go on break with Dice comically yelling "NO! We are NOT going to break!", his defeat in Season 1 has him getting a tire hit on him, his defeat in season 2 of getting frozen and being called lame by a couple of children walking through the maze mistaking him as a scare prop, etc.
- He is loyal to and respects The Devil, as he wanted to be his number one.
- He is a scapegoat as he got punished way more than he deserved by The Devil at the end of his debut episode and in season 3, it was revealed that he became homeless with nothing left after his show got cancelled which is played for lots of sympathy.
- He shown standards when The Devil destroyed his 1st finest demons, and he was also worried and shocked when The Devil destroyed his 2nd finest demon as well. And even King Dice, given how ruthless he was, was absolute frightened by the Four Horsemen.
Trivia[]
- He was once Inconsistently Heinous, but later got cut due to failing the heinous standard to Henchman, who did worse with less resources.
