Joseph Hisfriendfromschool is the tritagonist of SML. He is Bowser Junior's idiotic black best friend who is even more stupid than he is. He is also the archenemy of Ken.

He was voiced by Lovell Stanton. However, Chris Netherton provided two of his lines in "Cody's 10th Birthday!" and "Cody's Magic Wand!", Tito Jimenez portrayed him in "Jeffy's BIG Easter!", and Anthony Miller portrayed the Titototter version in "Garbage Monster!"

He and Junior treat their so-called friend Cody horribly, insulting his mom and making fun of him. They once even ruined his chance to go to college in "Cody Goes To College."
He regularly steals things, as shown in "Joseph's House" and "Bowser Junior's Big Vacation."
He supports Junior's decision to nuke the North Pole in "The Mystery Safe."
He and Junior murder Cody by exploiting his fatal allergy to garlic in "Cody the Vampire." While they thought Cody was a vampire and were worried that he would attack them, it was not self-defense as they had known him for years at that point and he never did anything to threaten them. Even if he had been a vampire (which he was not), he did nothing to warrant them trying to kill him.
He helps Junior try to burn down Cody's house in "Bowser Junior's Revenge."
In "Superpowers 2 Remake," he mentions (only in his thoughts) that he slit his neighbor's throat.
In "Cody's Mistake," he mentions he once hid a body on the beach, meaning he murdered someone. He also, along with Cody and Junior, kills Chef Pee Pee by burying him in the sand and allowing him to be drowned by tidal waves just because he destroyed their sand castle.
In "Bowser Junior's 1st Grade Part 5," he helped Junior burn down their school.
In "The Jewelry Heist!", he along with Junior and Cody, helped Chef Pee Pee rob a jewelry store.
He is not above rape and necrophilia, as in "Joseph's Imaginary Family!", he raped his imaginary stepsister, stepmother, and deceased step-grandmother. While they were paper characters made by Junior, Joseph thought they were real, meaning he would actually do those things to real people.
In "Jeffy's Penny!", he, Cody, Junior, and Jeffy all steal the money Chef Pee Pee got by selling his kidney (making the theft especially cruel) and use it to go to New York to drop a penny from the top of the Empire State Building to see if it kills someone. Joseph thought it would, meaning he was trying to get someone killed. He and the others abandon Jeffy to take the fall.
In "Cody's French Fries," he throws rocks at Brooklyn Guy's police car and calls him a stupid pig.
In "Cody's Challenge!", he and Junior repeatedly try to murder Penelope, Patrick and Bully so they can use their stomachs to replace Cody's failing stomach.
In "Cody's Nut Allergy," he and Junior force Cody to face off against PJ Crensaw in a PB&J sandwich eating contest despite knowing that Cody is deathly allergic to nuts. When Cody loses because of his allergies, Joseph is angry that he lost, shows no concern over the fact that he's on the brink of death and cruelly spits on him.
In "Joseph Gets Wings," he starts bullying Junior after becoming popular.
In "Spider-Ken," he masterminds the Green Goblin’s attacks and attempted to attack Spider-Ken with scissors before his defeat.
In "Cody's Bad Word," he harasses and bullies Cody for assuming he is racist.
In "The Hockey Game," he and Jeffy cheat to win a hockey game against Junior and Cody and when they confront them for this, Joseph gets into a fight with Cody and then throws him into the bleachers, breaking all of his bones. What's more is that Joseph later decides to cruelly taunt the two over losing the game.
In "Scary Stories", it was revealed that he broke a kid named George's legs by pushing him off a tree, which gave Joseph twisted satisfaction from his pain. This would cause Joseph to take George to his cabin and psychologically torment him by locking him in a cage for 3 months and only feeding him teddy grams, and only letting him walk once per week for 2 minutes once his legs healed the wrong way (Meaning George would only walk backwards).
- When Officer John Tomkins came to his trailer to search for George, he tased the officer and trapped him in the cage, and then forced them to fight each other, causing George to die so easily due to being far weaker than John. He then forced the officer to eat George in order to survive .
- When John started begging for freedom and states that he won't tell anybody about what Joseph has done, he rejects his pleads and burns the place down.
- He threatened to murder two unknown people (Who are actually Junior and Cody) for reporting him to the police.

Why He Doesn’t Stand Out?[]

As heinous as he is, he fails the standard to Junior and Cody despite having similar resources.
He does seem to care for Junior and to a lesser extent Cody despite his mistreatment of the latter. He even takes Cody’s side at times when Junior’s stupidity is too much to bear.
He mourned the death of Precious, referring to her as his favorite rapper.
He loves any pet that he gets and will cry for a long time if any of his pets die. A good example is his fish, Mr. Snappy, who he loved and became increasingly depressed when he learned that he was dead.
He has shown to have some standards rarely:
- He agreed with Junior when the latter inquired from Cody what is wrong with him when he was taunting a cricket that was about be eaten by Terrence the tarantula.
- He was horrified when Jeffy started beating up the corpse of Bone-Crusher at the latter's funeral.
- He was disgusted when Cody was revealed to have sex with his baby doll.
He is played for laughs.
He is very tragic, as his father died when he was young and his mom abandoned him after gaining a million dollars. To make matters worse, his mother faked her death and made him think he killed her, traumatizing him for his entire life. However, this becomes too petty to justify his actions, making this a minor prevention.
- It's also implied in several episodes that his uncle used to rape him, with him getting a ptsd flashback in "Jeffy Gets Poisoned".
He has a sympathetic goal of wanting to find a family that will love him.
Although he never met them (with the unknowing exception of his grandparents), he does love his birth family, as he cried thinking his grandparents were dead and missing his mother.
He felt bad for Jeffery the Giraffe after seeing that he was a homeless drunk and helped him get better.
