Joachim Armster is one of the minor antagonist in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence and serves as one of the bosses Leon Belmont must defeat. He was Walter Bernhard's former lieutenant and commited many atrocities under his rule but plotted to overthrow him. Walter discover his treachery and imprison him in the castle as punishment. Joachim is shown to be power-hungry and seeks an artifact known as the Crimson Stone so he can use it to kill his former master and take his power for himself.
He is voiced by Michael Lindsay in the English dub and Hiroshi Kamiya in the Japanese dub.

- He participated in the many atrocities Walter has done.
- He tried to overthrow his master all for the sake of power.
- He tried to kill Leon even though the hunter was simply asking him questions about Walter and his power.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He fails the henoius standard as he has not done much to make him stand out compared to his master Walter Bernhard, who is a powerful vampire lord who takes extreme delight in the suffering of many heroes, who seek to save their love ones from him.
- He lacks some personality to stand out due to his minimal screen time.
- Joachim suffers from Fridge Horror as much of his actions under Walter's command is never given much detail.
- He did honor his deal with Leon after his defeat by telling him vital information on Walter's power.
- Joachim has some moral agency issues as he was driven insane by his imprisonment and is implied of not seeing anyone for years.
