Come on, sniper. Take your shot.
~ Jason daring BAU Red Cell Agent Mick Rawson in their standoff

He was portrayed by Noel Fisher.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • Years before the events of the episode in 1999, he kills his classmate Ted Grunberg while trying to show off his sniper skills.
  • Prior to the beginning of the episode, he murdered his father Master Sergeant James Wheeler after he prevented Jason from applying for the military or various PMCs due to his son's unstable nature and anger issues.
  • Between February 26th and March 8th, he shot and killed four random people, his latest victim, Carl Langstrom, attracting the attention of Sam Cooper's Red Cell Team.
  • He taunts Red Cell Agent Mick Rawson by anonymously sending him a pager reading "bang bang", given Rawson's past as a sniper. Following this, he proceeds to shoot and kill two more people at a cafe, while also missing a third person.
  • He planned to kill everyone who attended his father's memorial service, which was prevented by the arrival of the Red Cell team. While a late attendee was shot, he was merely wounded and saved by Red Cell Agent Gina LaSalle, who Wheeler also attempted to shoot, but missed each shot.
  • He attempted to shoot Rawson during their showdown, before he was stopped and apprehended by Cooper.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • He fails the heinous standards of Criminal Minds to more prolific serial killers.
  • He suffers from Moral Agency issues due to his unstable nature.
  • He seems to treat Mick Rawson as a competitor, due to the agent's past as a sniper. However, this is only a minor prevention, as he still intend to kill Rawson.
