Hwaldar is a supporting protagonist from The Lord of the Rings, Battle for Middle Earth II, Rise of the Witch-king. He was the leader of the Hill-men of Rhudaur, a lieutenant in the armies of Angmar, and a loyal follower of The Witch-king of Angmar and his right-hand, Morgomir. He was an active participant in the plundering hordes and genocidal activities against Arnor.

His Villainous Deeds[]
- He makes an alliance with Morgomir and the kingdom of Angmar, agreeing to unite the hordes of the Hill-men and rebel against Arnor and the DĆŗnedain.
- He creates a civil war and chaos in Rhudaur, where the population is divided into two factions, the royalists and the supporters of Angmar, who are constantly fighting each other.
- After the Witch-king and Morgomir free him, he swears allegiance to them and incites the loyal Hill-men against the DĆŗnedain. The consequence of this will be that the savages of Rhudaur will actively assist Angmar and the Black NĆŗmenorans in their genocidal acts against the DĆŗnedain.
- With the help of the armies of Angmar, he kills almost all royalist and completely unites the Hill-men against Arnor.
- He helps the Witch King and Morgomir destroy two entire Dunedain citadels and kill King Argeleb and his army. He will then become the lieutenant of the armies of Angmar and an important leader of the raiding hordes.
- He helps the Witch King and his other minions destroy and plunder the fortress of Amon Sƻl.
- He attacks the kingdom of Cardolan with his horde, invading the area of āāthe barrow downs, where he kills many Dunedain and plunders the tombs of the kings.
- After the death of the Prince of Cardolan and the complete destruction of his army, he and his horde and the armies of Angmar plunder almost the entire kingdom.
- He and Rogash return to Carn DĆŗm in time to stop the besieging army of elves and kill everyone, taking no prisoners.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- Even though he was a very evil character and easily passes the basic standards, he falls deeply below other Lord of the Rings villains.
- He was very loyal to the Witch King and Morgomir.
