Hinata Sakaguchi is a former antagonist turned supporting protagonist in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
She was voiced by Manami Numakura in Japanese and Alexis Tipton in English.

- She is shown to willingly make whatever it takes to protect humankind even after her redemption she still show some form prone to corruption.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime[]
- She killed her own father by tossing him off a cliff. When her mother was depressed from his death, she was goanna kill her too to orphan herself, though she was sent to the Central World before she can do it and has shown no remorse for either action.
- While out of self defense she still was bit brutal to killing several bandits in protecting herself without remorse.
- She willingly served Luminous Valentine, a Demon Lord who she is aware who done a lot of heinous acts despite knowing her history.
- She ambushed Rimuru Tempest when he was on his way back to Tempest intending to kill him and wouldn't listen to his side of the story since he is a monster as she claimed she was going to destroy his nation for "being in the way" which would have many innocents die in Tempest and showed zero care or remorse. By preventing him from returning back in time it got some of Tempest killed and forced Rimuru Tempest to wipe out Falmuth's army of 20,000.
- She attempted to kill Rimuru Tempest a second time in their second duel though was out of self defense this time due to the Seven Luminares' manipulation and actions.
- There were alternate timelines that would've have everlasting consequences had she succeeded in killing Rimuru Tempest.
- In Dark Horizons event show a alternate timeline where she manage to kill Rimuru Tempest in their encounter caused him to fall into villainy leading to a Age of Chaos.
- In yet another one, she partaken in the Falmuth Invasion when her ambush failed due to Rimuru using Spacial Movement instead. She joined in the Falmuth Invasion where she killed Rimuru Tempest and thus lead to Clayman awakening without opposition.
- A similar timeline where she participated in Falmuth's attack caused many deaths and nearly kill Rimuru Tempest only stopped by Chloe Aubert's intervention in that case.
- Even after her redemption she still do questionable things time to time due to her personality:
- When Kenya Misaki made a rude comment about her, she drawn her sword on him despite him being a child. While she claimed it was to test him for survival for dangers in the Central World, it was TOO extreme and far of a lesson.
- She still harshly trained the Crusaders even using the Dungeon at times.
- She attempted to kill Glenda Attley during interrogation only to be stopped by Rimuru Tempest.
Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]
- While she passes the baseline for her attempted high kill count through attempted genocide of Rimuru Tempest's Nation and killing her own father without remorse, she fails the series' astronomically high heinous standards to many other characters who have done worse since genocides involving thousands to millions getting killed are the norm and thus she fails it to Mariabell Rosso who was gonna willingly risk endangering the millions of lives of the Western Nations, Edmaris Falmuth who attempted to wipe out Rimuru's Nation out of sheer greed, Folgen (who fails to Edmaris) who willingly aided Edmaris in his crimes, Yuuki Kagurazaka who orchestrated the former's crimes with having a more personal villainy towards Rimuru and Gelmud who created the Orc Lord Geld and be responsible through his actions with similar or lesser resources than her. It doesn't help she is Holy Captain of the Western Holy Church meaning she fails the individual capabilities as she could do just as much harm as Mariabell, Edmaris, and Yuuki.
- In addition due to her being a Anti-Villain and a Villain by Proxy since she only forced to resort to it for a greater good which also make her extremist in addition due to most of her villainous acts were result of her being manipulated or due to her self arrogance she is believing what she think is right action for the greater good for humankind that always have some selfless intention or goal as this means to an end as this severely limits her heinousness:
- While she did killed several people like her own father, several bandits, beasts and more most were far from innocent making it too mostly justified. Although she could stand out for famicide but she only killed her father because of his abusive actions to her and her mother as this prevents her from standing out with that crime.
- While drawing her sword on Kenya Misaki was harsh, she didn't try to harm or kill him just intimidate him to teach him a lesson given he was one of her masters students.
- Although some of her actions did lead to the following events that had consequences she didn't anticipate nor know that far ahead here making her unintentionally heinous especially those from alternate timelines:
- Attempting on destroying Rimuru's Nation and being responsible for forcing Rimuru Tempest to destroy Falmuth's Army of 20,000 due to her being tricked by Yuuki once, she didn't intend for it once she found out she was tricked she shown remorseful when she saw the truth as she thought Rimuru's Nation was hostile to humans.
- While in the Dark Horizon event show a timeline where her killing Rimuru Tempest in her ambush would lead to him becoming a villain and lead a Age of Chaos in a alternate timeline. She far likely didn't know it would lead to it due to not thinking that far ahead.
- While a failed timeline where she partaken in Falmuth Invasion where she killed Rimuru Tempest had lead to Clayman awakening as a True Demon Lord, she didn't know it would lead to it and events afterward either.
- In addition due to her being a Anti-Villain and a Villain by Proxy since she only forced to resort to it for a greater good which also make her extremist in addition due to most of her villainous acts were result of her being manipulated or due to her self arrogance she is believing what she think is right action for the greater good for humankind that always have some selfless intention or goal as this means to an end as this severely limits her heinousness:
- She has many multiple redeeming qualities that would prevent her from be being NPE in the first place:
- She is affable to others despite her cold and harsh demeanor. She cares for several people such as Shizue Izwaza, Luminous Valentine, her subordinates, Rimuru Tempest (once they got on good terms), and Class S the students of her late master.
- She honorable to her opponents as despite distrusting Rimuru Tempest in their first encounter, she still professionally introduced herself.
- She has a genuine tragic backstory has her father became addicted gambling & drinking and abusing her and her mother. However, when it backfired, she only going to kill her mother believing it would end her suffering making it a bit understandable but still too extreme to be excusable.
- She redeems herself and shed most of her corrupting qualities after making up with Rimuru following their second encounter during the Seven Luminaries attempt to eliminate them and become ally for the rest of the series as a Near Pure Good Hero.
- Despite serving a Anti-Villain like Luminous Valentine, she never aided or partaken in any of her villainous deeds due to her serving her under pragmatic reasons to protect humankind through any means, this makes it far too pragmatic to make her On & Off making her redemption still hold up.
- Although she did do some questionable acts after her redemption they're prone to corruption moments at best and never gone too far due to being held back by her standards.

- She is one of the few Villainous Benchmarks to be a Near Pure Good alongside Megamind, Scorpion (Mortal Kombat Legends), Winter Soldier (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Nightmare Moon, Piccolo Jr., Ereshkigal (Fate/Grand Order), Ivor, and Japanese Generatiom One Rhinox.
- She and Piccolo Jr are also only ones to be a Love Exalted and Magnificent Baddie crossovers too.
