Hektor Porko is a major antagonist in the video game Angry Birds Space.
He was once a famous musician named Harold Gruntly whose life was upended when a bizarre accident involving a bird and a wormhole destroyed his instrument and sanity. He is a strategic, crafty scientist who created and mercilessly rules the Mirror Worlds.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Evil Deeds[]
In General[]
- Like many Bad Piggies, he attempted to kill all birds present in the game.
- He has no care for any life in the Mirror Worlds under his rule and sees average pigs as cannon fodder to serve his goals.
Hektor Porko Awakens[]
- He attacked an innocent Ice Bird, and Ice Bird sends a distress call implying he is going to attack Red and "the others", implying he has threatened the flock before.
- He experimented with bending wormholes, formulating a theory to make them appear without the help of an Eggsteroid and baiting Ice Bird into proving it correct by telling him where wormholes will appear.
Angry Birds Space[]
- He created an alternate dimension known as the Mirror Worlds, with its own harder variations of most levels in the game, to help the Bad Piggies get away with their egg-stealing plans.
- He built a brass planet at Space King Pig's orders, providing shelter for many pigs, including the King himself.
- What makes this worse is how, in order to unlock new levels in Brass Hogs, players need to complete Daily Missions, and some of those missions include, but aren't limited to, popping, freezing and even mutating a certain amount of pigs, getting 3 stars or feathers in certain levels, finishing a specific level (even ones in Mirror Worlds), all of which would require pigs to be killed or endangered.
- One mission even requires the player to defeat the King in a level, meaning Hektor is not genuinely loyal to him and thus most likely built the brass planet out of sheer ambition.
- He also escaped into the Mirror Worlds in a cowardly attempt to avoid being caught by the birds, though this failed and they hunted him down.

- In Pig Dipper levels, he builds structures on mini-planets that are actually oversized, sentient fish, dehumanizing them by blatantly using them as bases to build on.
- In Cosmic Crystals levels, many pigs are trapped in crystals, and one cutscene in the game shows that the trapped pigs are clearly frightened by their situation, but Hektor does nothing to save these minions
- This also means he is not a scapegoat in the few levels where he gets trapped inside crystals, as he neglects pigs in that exact situation. He also gets hypocritically scared in many Mirror Worlds levels overall when he is floating or spinning, even when other pigs are afraid for more justified reasons.
- Level M7-11 is a disturbing example of this as TNTs and a structure resembling a drill that are placed on a crystal's surface and pigs near it are visibly afraid for their lives. In addition, if this really is a drill, that means he easily could have freed pigs from crystals, but chose not to. M7-11 also doesn't have any pigs trapped in crystals, so he doesn't build drills when pigs are in need.

Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- His backstory in Hektor Porko Awakens is tragicomic and implies he has moral agency issues:
- He was once a well-known musician named Harold Gruntly until a bar fight broke out where a bird threw a pinefruit at him and a pig fell into his Obsidian Organ, causing it to explode. The destruction of the Obsidian Organ caused a wormhole which Hektor was immediately sucked into, and he traveled through multiple universes. The experience in the wormhole, though brief, caused him to lose his sanity and fall to villainy, shedding all of his previous affability. He became devoid of his passion for music and denied all ties to his old identity as Harold.
- He has multiple other comedic moments outside of his backstory, such as building a planet using only brass, using fish as bases for structures, becoming comically flustered when Ice Bird calls him Harold Gruntly.
- It is unclear if he is actually a serial killer who has targeted the birds' flock multiple times, as Ice Bird simply said "I need to get a message to the others," and the fish in Pig Dipper, while not consenting, are not visibly hurt by him building structures on top of them, so these two acts rely on Fridge Horror.
- While he mistreats life in the Mirror Worlds on large scales, he has extremely high resources as he is capable of building entire planets (the one out of brass) and galaxies (the Mirror Worlds), so he fails the in-story standards to Space King Pig (who took over space and stole bunch of alien tech), King Fork-tongue (who ate all the eggs from his planet) and Alien Pig (who is responsible for pigs being trapped in crystals in the first place).
