“ | I spy with my one little eye: a new Tri-State Area that is one dictator short of a dictatorship. Well, that's all about to change. Pretty soon, I'll be ruling over two Tri-State Areas... a virtual Six-State Area! Fly, FLY, MY NORM BOTS! We got some oppressing to do! | „ |
~ 2nd Dimension Doofenshmirtz enacting his plan to take over the original Tri-State Area. |
2nd Dimension Heinz Doofenshmirtz is the main antagonist of the 2011 TV film Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, and later the secondary antagonist in the 2014 episode sequel "Tales from the Resistance: Back to the 2nd Dimension".
He is an alternate reality version of Heinz Doofenshmirtz who was able to successfully take over and rule his Tri-State Area with an iron fist for five years.
Just like his original counterpart, he was voiced by Dan Povenmire (one of the co-creators of the series).
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- His reason for taking over the Tri-State Area is because he lost his toy Choo-Choo train, which even 1st Dimension Doofenshmirtz found his motivation to be petty, absolving him from any sympathy from it. What makes this even more petty is that his 1st dimension counterpart also had a similar loss with Balloony and a legit tragic childhood and yet even after losing him he didn’t become as evil as his 2nd dimension counterpart.
- While he arguably fails the high standard to his 1st Dimension counterpart, he had shown himself willing to cross lines that 1st Doofenshmirtz would not, like attacking and threatening Perry’s owners Phineas and Ferb.
- He took over the entire Tri-State Area when he first appeared.
- He turned Perry the Platypus into a Platyborg, which caused him to become his minion. He uses him to attack the boys and Perry when facing them.
- When Perry reveals he's a secret agent, Doofensmirtz orders the Norm Bots to capture the boys and Perry.
- He uses the 1st Dimension Doofensmirtz in order to create a portal to the 1st Dimension Tri-State Area.
- He manages to capture Phineas, Ferb, Candace, and Perry.
- He ends up attempting to kill Perry, the kids, and 1st Dimension Doofensmirtz for outliving their usefulness by putting them in a lava room with a Goozim.
- Upon arriving to the 1st Dimension, he creates a satellite to control the Norm Bots and activates Doofenshmirtz's original -inator to ensure that the portal is stable for the Norm Bots to get through the other side.
- He unleashes his Norm Bots onto the 1st Dimension Tri-State Area, attempting to force the citizens to obey and accept him as their new leader.
- While fighting Phineas, he thought about making him into a cyborg.
- After the Norm Bots get destroyed when the team destroys the satellite, he uses a giant robot version of himself to kill all of them for foiling his plans.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He suffers from Fridge Horror:
- While he conquered the Tri-State Area in his dimension, we never get to know just how bad his rule really was, as the most we get is Candace saying that it was hard for her to grow up like that, but we don't know quite how bad it was or if it was even heinous at all.
- The same can be said for his act of attempting to enslave the 1st Dimension Tri-State Area. He mentions to Phineas that he intends to enslave his loved ones, but never establishes how he's going to do it or how bad it is going to be, as all we see him do is just have people wear clothes with his face on them.
- While he brainwashed the 2nd dimension Perry and turned him into a cyborg (meaning that 2nd Dimension Phineas and Ferb did not see him again until his programming was reverted), this isn't explored enough to boost his heinousness. In other words, we don't know how much this affected this version of Perry as it's unknown the methods he used to turn him into a cyborg, or if he felt pain while doing so.
- While he sends the Norm Bots to cause destruction in the Tri-State Area, we don't know if anybody died in the chaos.
- He is above the baseline through the large impact he had through his reign over the 2nd Dimension AND he came dangerously close to killing Phineas, Ferb, Candace, Perry and Doofenshmirtz by feeding them to a Goozim over a lava pit, as well as revealing Perry's secret identity and risking him being taken away from his owners but he fails the heinous standards to Rodrigo, who tried to destroy the Tri-State Area, and to both Aloyse Von Roddenstein and Baljeet Tjinder, who tried endangering billions of people. Resources don't help him as he has a massive army of robots and is a genius just like his first dimension counterpart.
- He also arguably fails the high heinous standards to his first dimension counterpart, who while far more tragic once endangered the universe.
- He is way too comedic to even qualify as NPE. Examples of this include him singing a song with his 1st dimension counterpart when he first appeared, multiple scenes where he is teaching the original Doofensmirtz to make him more like him, and his "tragedy" is far too petty and laughable to be taken seriously.
- He genuinely loved his wife and daughter and even faked a divorced to ensure their safety after he is arrested.
- He shows remorse for his crimes after 1st Dimension Doofensmirtz gave him his lost toy train, and due to this, he deactivates the Norm Bots before accepting his fate by the hands of the 2nd Dimension citizens.
- However, this is minor as he never acknowledged his actions to be wrong and horrible nor as an inappropriate way to deal with losing toys on accident and later on his wife tosses the train off the building making him turn evil again.
Trivia[]
- He was previously approved as Inconsistently Heinous until he got removed due to his crimes that rely on fridge-horror and failing the in-series high heinous standard.
- Though, if was confirmed that he would rule badly which would be heinous, that enslaving the 1st Dimension Tri-State Area would cause citizens to die or be endangered, if the 2nd dimension Perry felt pain when being brainwashed and turned into a cyborg, and that any citizens died in the destruction to Tri-State area, he would possibly remain on that wiki meaning he may or may not fail to Rodrigo, Aloyse Von Roddenstein, and Baljeet Tinder, and his first dimension counterpart at all.
