Dr. Harleen Quinzel, known more commonly as Harley Quinn, is a major antagonist in the DC Animated Universe.

She was previously the Joker's psychiatrist before becoming his accomplice in his crimes and on and off girlfriend after madly falling in love with him, but eventually struck out on her own. She is often aided in her crimes by her best friend and fellow Arkham Asylum inmate, Poison Ivy. She is the archenemy of Batgirl.

She was voiced by the late Arleen Sorkin.

She helped the Joker in committing various crimes and causing chaos and destruction in Gotham city.
She assisted the Joker in attempting to assassinate Commissioner James Gordon by planting a bomb at his testimonial dinner.
Whenever she teamed up with Poison Ivy, they would go on various crime sprees.
She tried to kill Catwoman by putting her through a grinder.
When she was paroled, she decided to go back into villainy again after being not trusted enough by the civilians.
She has nearly killed Batman on many occasions.
She helped the Joker in trying to kill Superman and Batman.
She tied Mercy Graves as a human shield to a combat robot set which almost killed her.
She joined with Poison Ivy and Livewire to cause chaos in Gotham.
She made a plan to capture Batman by injecting him with a sedative and tying him up upside down above a piranha tank to get eaten by the piranhas.
She helped the Joker in trying to destroy the Justice League.
She helped the Joker in torturing Tim Drake into insanity.

Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]

While she meets the baseline by helping the Joker kidnap and torture Tim Drake, she fails the heinous standard to Joker who was the one who lead the torture of Tim Drake into insanity for three weeks.
She is shown to love the Joker and hold respect for him despite his abuse towards her.
She can sometimes be on & off as she has done heroic actions too such as helping Batman stop Joker.
She has standards unlike her boss as she will not blow up Arkham Asylum, likely in part due to the fact she used to work there.
She is very comedic as she is constantly played for laughs and hardly ever taken seriously.
She cares deeply about her pet hyenas Bud and Lou, and has a positive relationship with Poison Ivy.
She is sympathetic due to being abused by the Joker to the point where she suffers from stockholm syndrome.
In Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, she has shown to redeem herself in the future where she stopped having romantic feelings for the Joker, became the grandmother of the Dee-Dee twins and scolded them for their behavior.
